What Sparkle says between the dubs is virtually identical as a result. There is a difference in hating her but thinking she is a good character and the people who blindly hate that a bad character might be bad. And then there is the people who throw fit when someone says she is racist even if the person saying that loves her and is not critiquing that fact. Plus more, there's a lot of variations. Personally I feel like she is, even if she didn't say a real life slur (I'm not bothering with all that either way), seems pretty obvious to me written to be interpreted as racist at least in the context of Aventurine. And if a character is written to be something, they are that. Their character is not based on interaction with the player, it is interaction with their setting and other characters in the context of their world. And then player will feel however they feel about that character separately. Think about how a word might be offensive in one country but not really present in another, that doesn't mean that it isn't offensive in the one country just because the other isn't. It's context. Another thing to note is that regardless of whether someone always uses race against someone, doing so is still racist. You can insult someone, but directly tying the insults to race seems like different connotation? I may not have written the best, I hope that what I said makes sense
