#honkaistarrail #SPARKLE Sparkle Trailer in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean dub Language "Monodrama" HONKAI STAR RAIL EN : 0:00 JP : 2:04 KR : 4:09 CN : 6:14
The CN version killed it. Very perfect with the "Bleh" and the long insane laugh. And without laughing at the end, before appearing, to cause surprise. Top Tier
Maybe it’s because i don’t understand chinese but her voice is pretty tame except for the laugh(the chinese va killed it on that part) . Like it’s perfect but at the same time i prefer the jp version
@@messiah753Lack of familiarity, exposure and knowledge with the language plays a massive role. It also explains why the players are naturally more familiar, exposed and knowledgeable with Japanese and English thus having a natural inclination towards the two.
@@messiah753 u'r right. understanding Chinese makes a big difference. Unlike in English, a "crazy" Chinese voice (female) needs over-calmness, fake-friendliness and sudden outburst to make it sound crazy.
i really like the way cn made sparke's emotion peak when she said "i am elation" into like a full-on high crazy moment, compared to how the other three all did a more sinister and suppressed way of saying "i am elation" (not that it's bad, but the way cn's voice just goes upupup when she said that is like DAMN)
I personally love how each language is crazy with madness and insanity but bring out different personalities much more than others(EN is more angered/evil, CN is more calm yet sinister, KR is more childish, JP is more playful.) It’s like each language takes on a different mask for Sparkle, different roles. It really fits the character of Sparkle.
It’s very knowledge dependent. When you understand the language it fits with how insanity is viewed. For example for Chinese it’s random outbursts within calm demeanors which emphasize the craziness. As someone who understands three out of four, Korean feels the least crazy, but it’s suggestive as you don’t know how craziness is perceived in Korean.
Nah imo EN had the best laugh because it sounds so natural especially the "ehgieghieghie" sound before the "ah ah ah! *inhale*" All the other ones sound forced Edit: Also, it is just me or does CN sound "quieter" than the others? Could barely hear her talk
Have always played in CN and never regretted it but wow I was surprised by how much I liked the EN version this time. imo it's the most faithful to the og CN sparkle trailer
Dang, she sounds so evil and manipulative in JP (trailer version), like she's looking down at us like vermins. I love it (trailer version). All dubs are really good in this one, love it.
Didnt rly know how to say it in English, but edit: a lot ppl enjoying cn va’s performance is really touching, usually cn va is the one that got left out, the va rly did a good job
Sparkel.. Sparkel.. Hanabi.. The trailer is freaking great, my opinion on each ver: EN: it's just hum.. Okay.. Cannot say how it felt but plain. It lack of something JP: hands down to this one, makes me shocked . How it actually fit to sparkel, the mischief and inner child (but mence) personality. I somehow like when she says her own name makes it some spice CN: those laughter is like a crazy child just pure evil, there's a hint of mischief but pure of something dark somehow. Kind of manipulating person Kr: huh.. I mean it's good but like it's much more like she's a little girl toying people (personality wise more lean to children's behaviors) So in conclusion: EN: normal one (hate to say it, but it lack) JP: balance (high pitch crazy, child behavior, menace personality) CN: cazy behavior and menace personality Kr: Pure children's personality and mischief
I find it funny how people crap on eng dubs or call it meh when they literally speak the language themselves lol. PPL probably don't like eng dubs because it's not high pitched enough for them. They probably just don't like English as a whole and still hate on it despite speaking the language themselves lol. I just wanna see good eng dubs get appreciated for once. Maybe they just want high pitched eng dubs. I love star rails eng dub. Also I am 13 so don't come at me since I don't like getting bullied. Also I don't get notifications so I probably won't respond back.
@@Mika_Kagehira.meh. Not the case here. I am not native, so I prefer original look at characters, so CN>JP>KR=EN for me. But at the same time I prefer Cyberpunk Edgerunners in EN dub overJP. So, you know, actually depends on how good it is.
Id say english and chinese are by far the best, then japanese and then korean. Japanese one sounds just a bit immature and the korean one sounds like a little child
@@lovelydoll1es I do agree about this one, the en voice still did good. It's just JP takes my heart first then CN takes it a second time. Jp did make it gentle since they were probably trying to cooperate with the inner child?
@@Mika_Kagehira. en have some excellent stuff especially for man or villain voice. So EN is good for like a heavy voice where a light high note is for JP and CN. For KR for me relative a new one, so It's a blank knowlage
En sounds egotistically crazy. Jp sounds childishly indifferent but has an air of high intelligence. Ch sounds bat shit crazy and playful. Kr I can’t really get a feel for. Personally, I’d have to give it to ch or en on this one.
Definitely love all the versions, but I personally feel like the EN VA and CN VAs were just casted better. Their voices fit Sparkle better than the JP and KR do imo. Not anything to do with the skill of the those VAs at all, just a question of the sound of their voices
I keep seeing ppl liking CN Laugh, and as all versions are great, I think I have to disagree, the KR laugh is crazy good, i can understand finding her voice too high pitched but her laugh is on point, inspires real craziness and I don't think much people could have made a laugh this crazy sounding
