Flashback to my youth. I spent many hours hunting and fishing in Sparkleberry Swamp. We would either put in there or Pack's Landing. About 45 minute ride from Sumter. We'd have a 14ft. flat bottomed job boat in the bed of a pickup with a 20Hp Mercury outboard- no trailer needed. Had a home on Wyboo Creek. You have to ride around in it to really appreciate the peaceful beauty of a SC swamp. The good thing about The Sparkle is that it's not well known or marked so it usually is not flooded with people. Note how the place is clean. The folks who use these public ramps appreciate them and pick up their trash. You don't see dumping. Well, maybe a body or too...

Great history in this boat T-Bone! Journey was fabulous and great music as always. Great launch too, textbook. Was Mrs T at the wheel? Any crocs in that creek? Mrs T got scared! but it wasn’t the swamp I’m guessing, she realised you got her alone in a boat with only 4 ft square to run in 🤣🤣🤣. Good plan T-Bone. Too many doors in the van for baby to escape. Thank you. I was doing the driving and Mrs T was filming. That is a huge swamp in Lake Marion South Carolina, one of the best fishing lakes in the entire US. Check it out on Google. Yes sir it is loaded with gators, snakes and skeeters. It's a really cool place that many people get lost in. Yep Mrs T couldn't get away 😆 trapped in a tiny boat. Once night falls in that swamp you may as well stay because it's doubtful you will find a way out 🤣 spooky 👻 😜 😉
I have passed that place many times Not knowing there was a landing up above Packs Landing! Stayed one time at Carolina King which I never will again! I didn’t realize you were a Sandlapper? You must live close by? I live in Charlotte now.
