i know im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
Yeah, but Ron has changed his moustache - used to be a Charlie Chaplin, now it's a lot thinner. Ron reminds me a lot of my high school band teacher, now sadly departed. You were always our favorite teacher, John...
Russell dreaming and clapping away as the final verse and chorus came round and missed it altogether 😂 but like the absolute pros they are, they pulled it back and knew they got away with it (hence the guitarist grinning away just before the end)
This single was originally released when I was around 11 years old. I remember some of my school friends dismissing the song and the band with comments along the lines of "they're not really singing or playing, it's just and endless loop'. Now I'm not quite sure if any of them thought they knew what an 'endless loop' was, but40 odd years later, you listen to this stripped down, acoustic version and realise that even the smallest mistake is going to leap out at you. This is simply outstanding, one of the best pop songs ever released.
Ive listened to this song for almost 50 years and like this version the best. A cool part is that it looks like Russell is really enjoying singing the song even though he has probably sang it 10,000 times. Just a magic song.
henrik h, Yes, especially since he was 68 years old (born 1948, october) at that time. If you want to listen to his voice when he was young I recommend Equator (Kimono my house) and Pineapple (Indiscreet). Acrobatics for vocal cords!
Wow, I am completely blown away. I almost didn’t click on it thinking it was gonna be another. One of these deals were aging singers were struggling to hit notes and missing pitches and no energy in the rest of it and it was fucking unbelievable. In some ways I like it better than the original -great job guys!
Russell Mael is the hottest guy all over the world!! Not only because he looks incredibly hot, also because of his unique and very special voice. There's no other voice like this! The best voice I've ever heard!!!! 💖💋
Still really beautiful and impressive. i like this version because you still perform it perfectly after all these decades, and because it gives us a chance to really hear this beautiful piano accompaniment in detail. Thank you Sparks, for your music and your characters and everything you brought to us over the years. Bless you.
Pure Magic! Bought their first albums as a teenager at secondary school. Everyone at school loved their music. Nice one guys and Thankyou so much. Don’t Stop, Keep Rokin’.
Other than the fact that it's a bit sad that they still have to play the songs from their two 1974 albums to be relevant, I was pleasantly surprised and downright impressed. Russell Mael still sounds pretty much the way he did back then. For the record, I do like Sparks a lot, although after Big Beat (and certainly after No. 1 in Heaven), I hardly even knew they were still performing.
Not sad, they are great songs, all relevant and everyone wants to hear them. They do songs from all their albums- catch up with some, you will be surprised. They play to full houses and are very popular.
Just awesome. I got into them when this first came out. And they still churn out new and original music every few years. All the sweary hippity hoppity people sell millions more records, but none of them can match this talent.
