Ive been doing a LOT of this at the gym lately. Really keeps the opponent from rushing in and closing distance. Makes them hesitate a bit to rush in.

Lol. Yes and no. Sparring is very important to stay sharp too. Myself easy to forget all the techniques when actually in sparring and no time to think. Enjoy your training and journey.
