The problem with the Sparrow isn't the durability, it's the lack of springiness in the skids on the bottom. Possibly the designer didn't know how to program those, so it was skipped altogether. Even though it should just be a simple copy paste from the Buzzard's coding.
I think a great buff for the sparrow would be to give it sea floats, not even armor changes but just the ability to spawn it anywhere and ALSO land in water would be huge, that's the biggest thing we're missing is a flying vehicle that can land in water and can also be spawned near the player anywhere.
I do think they should have had the sea sparrow as the moon pool one. It never really made sense why the one for use in a submarine was not the sea version. But that's just Rockstar Logic at its best I suppose.
Good info, but I would've liked to see how the Sparrow holds up under regular gunfire now. Like how long would it last under NPC gunfire now compared to before? Most of the time when I'm using the Sparrow, I'm doing PvE activities in freeroam.

There is a workaround method my thing I tested it a while ago I figured out a way how to get around it. And yes you are allowed to re-post it if you want to! Just sharing this around because I see a lot of comments like this it’s not “patched” It’s just a lot harder.
Also, just figured out recently that only the bunker and facility beds you can do this with, but when you try to enter the bed, the mask will disappear and then you’ll be able to access your interaction menu and change your outfit. Then you simply get out of bed and mask returns with everything merged I don’t know why it’s specifically those two properties. I tested the other ones but it’s only those two.
GhillieMaster had issues with the Bombushka and that it was inconsistent. It sometimes took like 1 RPG or sometimes 6 to blow up, he also had similar issues with the other explosive weapons, but is not worth buying since you can’t park vehicles in the back unless all upgrades are off and the turrets still have limited rotations. The Sparrow is a descent buff that it doesn’t blow up when you gently land it anymore 😅
I've been saying it for years, the sparrow needs the same landing gear as the buzzard so it'll soak up the impact upon landing, no armor buffs necessary.
Bombushka buffs don't mean SHIT since the turrets are still broken to where you can only shoot in a very limited range of aim, even though the aiming is completely fine. Another L added to Rockstar's pile of Ls. Sparrow buff is fine but who gives a shit? It's already a good aircraft
Tha sparrow didnt really need a buff, i never had any issues but its a fair enough buff, especially about explosive sniper resistance. As for the bombushka, i predicted it would still be shite and as soon as i heard the only thing changed was armour i knew for sure, you could realistically give it MOC armour and it would still be useless because it cant evade anything and its weaponry is laughable
Yeah the game often spawns it and the buzzard right in front of an NPC vehicle. The really annoying thing is when they clearly have time to brake and just don't bother
* Crashing the Sparrow onto the ground makes it smoke. Landing it has always been just fine. Super-agile and among the easiest to master, in the top-tier of all of the weaponised helicopters in the game. Just take care of your toys, people. Smashing hurtling hunks of metal into the Earth, like it's supposed to bounce, is never going to end well. The Sparrow is like a graceful, little ballet dancer. Touch, not throw it down.
