This is a 10 minute essay for me. I'm so tired right now as i am just trying to hit the centre of the clubface and contril spin and launch. Ill get back tomorrow. This is interesting.

@@liongolfacademy Oh do you mean like the bottom half of the swing plane? because at 7:14 it just has a dotted line to a red circle and doesn't actually indicate which plane she is outside of

No there is a lower plane and an upper plane line. If you hands are above the lower plane during takeaway it’s indicative of hand outside which could be a shoulder tilt issue.

I think it could turn out to be great thing and since it has ability to learn and modify instructors could possibly use it in a lot of ways I see it as a game changer in that you could maybe change one variable and illustrate the effect rather than asking the student to trust and spend tons of time making an uncomfortable change In the end i have doubts. A good coach is very hard to find. I am trying to keep this short but basically i agree with you. My coach has to know whether my goals are realistic given my physical limitations and time constraints. Also any change is hard work and has to be approached with caution. If i change my grip it affects other things. Will i now have more red than before? Not for me at this point.

Thanks for the feedback, completely agree with you on your points. I can also see it as the student trying to get to green just for the sake of getting to green and possibly ruining natural compensations

@@liongolfacademy i had a swing analyzer that drove me crazy because it had a small red area at the bottom of the arc. I was obsessed with getting rid of it! All i can figure is i might have been a little shallow at impact or was losing my wrist angle early. In the end it really was bullshit because i hit the ball well . Sometimes we should just accept little red areas i think. In the end its just recreational for most of us. If i maxed out my physical potential and had a perfect golf swing i would still not be elite. Might take a few more bucks from guys that think they can play though. Hahahaha

@bruceford9413 it’s funny you say that I had a conversation with one of my students who is fairly new to the game and he is so obsessed with looking perfect and after our conversation he came to the realization that it is not realistic for average golfers. He then texted me later in the day and stated that why do amateur golfers always compare themselves to the best in the world, he couldn’t think of another sport where all they do is compare themselves and try to emulate the elites golf swing. I also though and I too cannot think of another sport where that is the case. We are truly a unique type of person us golfers 😂

@@liongolfacademy boy would i love to spend a few hours in a bar with you! I now compare both my swing and club stats to lpga pros. They are my standard. They are my size or just a tad bigger so leverage is the same . I am old now so they might even be stronger. But when was the last time i shot 65? Like maybe when i was 12 on the front 9. So they are aspirational. No need to even think about Tiger yet guys i play with are constantly trying this or that move some big boy is doing. Crazy. But one of the things about golf is no matter how good you get you could be a couple of shots better. So we keep chasing rabbits . I think if we all started by just learning movements using a ball and no real equipment until we actually had a swing we would be much better. The foundation is pretty simple using that approach and it seems to me you could add speed and minor tweaks within that framework . I doubt you could sell it though, might look like a large dance class.

Yeah it’s way too primitive right now. Completely worthless without customized biometric data and a much more intelligent brain behind it. The dumb generic advice it gives reminds me of Brian Regens comedy bit about pop tarts. Why is there more than one step to the instructions on toasting a pop tart? It should just be “Step 1: toast the pop tart”. This app might as well be saying “Step 1 to a good golf swing: swing good and the ball will go where you want it”.

😂 that’s so true and such a good analogy. Pop tarts are good though aren’t they? Not so much for you, but man they taste good, even uncooked!

May be like Donald Duck orange juice, as a kid that was the most delicious OJ I had ever tasted, and I finally saw it in the store and bragged to everyone in the family to get ready to taste the best OJ of their life, and it was a huge disappointment to say the least. Broke my heart. .
