I just found you through your Around the World quilt so was not part of the vote. However, I am so glad of your choice. This was in my choice pile for the spring as I am finishing a few quilts off from winter. I went with solids and have never done a solid quilt before and am afraid of the precision and getting bored. I am also afraid the quilt is too large for my purposes and have been wondering about leaving some birds out and if it would seriously harm the symmetry of the quilt. So I am so happy to follow you through the process. You already were immensely helpful on the cutting. I hate strip cutting instructions. (Pat Sloan has given me great courage not to do it) as it often wastes a ton of fabric. She is also a cut as you go gal. But when I read through the pattern I thought I could get into some serious organizational problems if I cut as I go. I'm a bit of a ditz. So thank you for helping me visualize how to do this and there is little waste from the strip cutting should I decide to to all the birds. Now I can sit back and FMQ and bind these 3 winter quilts and watch you do this one:). Thank you for all the thought you put into this. It is enough to quilt on a snow day, but you took on producing a video while you did it and kept your kids happy as well. No small feat!
Brenda at Conquering Mount Scrapmore gave you a shoutout so I clicked on the link. So surprised to see the Sparrows quilt. I have the pattern but haven’t started it yet. Maybe this will be my inspiration!
Don’t you just love snow days? My father was a teacher, I was as teacher, and my son is now a professor/ teacher. We all agree that snow days are rare priceless gifts from Heaven above, to be enjoyed whenever possible. Enjoy your snow days, whenever they come!! ❄️💖
Isn't it cute! I got it from a local shop that sold giftware, but they closed shop earlier this month, unfortunately. The owners were moving across the country. The whole store had a going-out-of-business sale, so I picked it up last month. The tin says on the back, "Created exclusively for House of B's" and has a website, www.houseofbs.com, if that helps. :)
It's a mister spray bottle that has a couple air pouches in it. I've had it for a few years now and it's still on Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TUFQ12W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1
