Spartan GoCam issues started 1/05/2017 - FIXED SEE COMMENTS

This issue started 1/05/2017 at 12:05AM. My GoCam, which had been working flawlessly since I purchased it in November stopped transmitting pictures. I have made sure both my dataconnect account as well as my GoPremium accounts are up to date and have not expired. The first time I called AT&T they were absolutely no help and referred me to HCO. I immediately turned around and called them again this time I got a tech that actually tried to resolve the issue. After he couldn't fix, he opened a ticket with the Network Team @ AT&T. Although these cams are 3G, I have a feeling this has something to do with the sun setting of the 2G service scheduled to begin 1/1/17.

ATT dropped there 2G network is that a 2G canera

It has a 3G radio that is also backwards compatible with 2G.

I have a problem with my panda it's a 2G sprint ..Sprint know longer has 2G what is a good hack for me to used to send pic to my phone any other SIM card don't work..I only had it 4 years and payed a lot of money..I called HCO and they will not help me with this they should ..you pay a lot of money for this camera it still works but won't send pic..help if u know any ideas thank u

Unfortunately you’re out of luck. It’s an expensive regular game camera now. I’d contact HCO and see what your options are.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try this if it happens. Still think these are the best cams out there. I have five and they STILL work almost flawlessly. Needing to do an update of firmware now so was looking online.

+Travis Jacobs I think they’ve fixed this issue in the later models. We have three of these cams and really like them. I also have two Coverts and they work great as well. We’ve also went to using lithium batteries this year and have found that even though they are way more expensive then regular alkaline batteries the extended run time the lithium’s provide makes it worth it. Optionally you can invest in a external SLA battery and solar panel and eliminate the need to change out batteries... ever! Take care!

HERES THE FIX!!! Do exactly what I did in this video and do a test pic. However, leave it on while it's stuck at "setting." DO NOT TURN IT OFF! Eventually you'll hear a couple of beeps as the camera finally connects with the network and sends the pic. This process could take up to 90 minutes to complete so don't give up. In most cases I've seen it resolve the problem in under 45 minutes or so. Once it has sent the first test pic you are good to go and cam will function as normal after that.

Thank You! Encountered the same "setting" issue after the most recent firmware update. After countless hours on the phone with tech. support (no success) and endless forum searches I found this video. Followed your instruction, patiently waited.... 52 minutes later, works seamlessly again. Thanks again!

Never worked for me on Verizon. I called them, had them reset the DMU (dynamic update) key. Two of my camera's that stopped working I had to have them remove from the system and add back in.

Also, if I leave it 'setting', I get a 'timeout' error after a short period.

I am getting the Time out error as well. frustrating. i have updated firmware and no luck. guess i should call verizon

not a cell issue, call spartan help line, easy fix

No it’s def a cell issue. 2G is or has been phased out in most places.

My Spartan 3G that has worked flawlessly for 4 years started doing the same thing 2 weeks ago. I get the timed out message after 4 or 5 minutes. Other than not sending it’s working fine. I was having trouble with the setup switch not wanting to move up to the ON position. I have a can of CRC Electronics cleaner. Haven’t tried that yet. You doing OK Matt? It’s been a while.
