I had seen your video before but revisited recently as I was preparing for the ultra in SoCal this past weekend. It is incredibly informative and comprehensive. I went with the square bin as you suggested, and booked it out of transition area in 5 minutes. Thank you for helping me earn my buckle!

Obstacle Activist : I would like to tell you a huge thank for your vidéo and your organization that I managed to finish my ultra in Scotland (Perth) in 2019. And know that I really did everything that you advised, put the bag in height, stay up, stay less than ten minutes in the transition and leave without asking any questions. This year, I'm going to make an ultra-hard one, Morzine's, what I'm going to add is plastic pockets in my hydration pack for when we get wet because there will be water. Aroo!!!

I used nylon drawstring sacks for camping inside my 5 gal bucket. Used the same system for the agoge and it worked awesome. Orange for food, blue for drink, green was medical stuff, spare clothes and shoes in black, etc. lithium batteries for the headlamp are lighter than regular batteries and i always keep a spare set in a waterproof container just in case. Great video though, always enjoy watching other peoples ideas to improve my system. I also write down each item on a notecard, sorted by location i.e. med bag: 1. Bacitracin, 2. Krazy glue etc. I laminate the card and tape it on the top so if someone needs to find something it is easy for them to find it. Another agoge thing, in the event someone had to get something out of my ruck it was easy for them to find it and retrieve it.

Where do you get salt tabs and caffeine tabs

So if you have to fly in for an Ultra...how do you get your bin back home? Ship it back? Pay for another checked bag, which is a bin/bucket? What does everyone do?
