Spattering on Lava Pond • Iceland Eruption - Fagradalsfjall 

A video with few clips I shot yesterday in Geldingadalir during the amazing show the volcano gave to those who went for a visit there.
As mentioned in my previous post, a lava pond started forming yesterday, a few hours after the eruptive activity resumed.
Spattering spots have been observed on the pond surface. Those were not new vents, but they formed because lava flowing inside previuosly formed lava tubes, broke through the surface in few spots, allowing the gases to escape.
