Vanessa Rubin is the TRUTH. I have been a fan for decades. I own all of her Cd's and will travel to see her. Great vocalist with a voice and style of her own!
I love vanessa rubin. I met her once while she was promoting her tribute to Carmen Mcrae CD. The nice touch was that Carmen was still alive to witness the honor.
She's one of the many, many unheralded jazz singers out there that deserve more recognition and gigs!! Vanessa's been around for a while and I'm glad people can finally see her when ever thay want. Thanks for the posting.
My first time hearing Vanessa Rubin, and I am sold. I was a dyed in the wool Carmen listener since my teen years. Thank you Vanessa, you are truly following a class act! Nothing like Lady Carmen!!
Had a recent conversation over lunch with Ms. Rubin and while talking about the different bands she currently works with, she said the magic word... She likes to SWING! And her bands can swing. Other female singers were mentioned and, she was most complimentary, but some didn't seem to have the ability to swing. LOL! I loved it!
Great rendition! Love it! Thanks for share it! #JazzVocals
