There must be umpteen billions of speakers of all types manufactured just by China, I remain surprised that every house on the planet doesn't have 2 dozen of them.... But then thinking about it, we probably do...
The noise is signal test generator, used to sweep all frequency that this loudspeaker supports. Distortion, sound pressure lever (SPL) & some other parameters are measured., It's awful but it's necessary to check the speaker and put the sticker QC.
tomsav67240 You're correct. I'm sure some think it's a noisy bird. I've ran sweeps through speakers I've built for measurements, and it is louder than you expect. Unfortunately a factory like this probably doesn't test all the parameters you mentioned. I'd bet they just run the sweep to make sure it plays the sound then passes it down the line.
. У паялщика что, нет элементарной вытяжки или сдувки? Или он в наморднике? . Does the soldering iron have no elementary hood or blow-off? Or is he muzzled?
Very few companies are 100% made in the USA. (Meaning tooling all motors/baskets/softparts and assembly.) Lots of companies claim the made in USA title, but really only assemble here using china parts. I guess that's better than taking a china product and slapping a company logo on it I suppose.
If this was a western production line people would salute it saying it was hand built and high quality. When people in the West are replaced by machines people blame capitalism stealing people's jobs. Because this production line is in China people say it's low quality, poor conditions etc. What the hell. Would it make you guys feel any better if they were smiling like brainwashed buffoons for the camera? I worked in an agricultural packing facility here in the West back in the late 90's and it was worse conditions than this. It was soul crunching and boring work, yes, but it had to be done if you guys want your cucumbers and salads. At lease these people have a job and are learning skills and making their own money. The workers should wise up and use hearing protection and there should be better ventilation at glue and soldering stations, but that will come as it did in the West too. The working conditions in Western mines have taken so many lives. Read up on black lungs. You guys can't put today's standards on a country going through industrialization. In 100 years China will have surpassed the West so hard. They can just import our knowhow to better their own facilities and conditions, and they will as the labor force grows more organized and wise up just like we did. It's not exploitation, it's industrialization. They are developing. I'd rather see this than starving people, so you guys need to calm down and not be so extremely narrow minded. If the Chinese were given the same hourly wage as a Western worker you would not see all these people having jobs, as production would move on to western high tech facilities instead. Then the Chinese people would sit there without any skills and be starving without a chance to develop their skills, techniques, facilities and living conditions for later generations: You guys think about that.
What brand of speaker is this? I would like to buy a set to hear what they sound like. They most likely sound pretty decent. A range between your smart phone speaker and a THX certified theater, so some wiggle room. The motor structure in these speakers appear to be good aside the internal paint. Most of the high frequency drivers were also dynamic drivers too. The piezo discs are something they did to pull the wool over our eyes in the old days when electrostatic membranes existed. The most expensive boom boxes in the 1980's tricked us with the simple piezo tweeter.A dirty factory? Well guess what happens when a good process works without distraction. It works to satisfaction. So what brand is this speaker so I can buy it to hear it?
No way does it really go that slow! I have worked lines that would have half the people doing two or three things at one station., I could do five task's at that speed. This is for PR, they kick up the conveyor speed bigtime when there are no camera's to document the production, trust me.
I'm surprised by the number of tweeters are used on those speakers. 3 or 4 peezo tweeters and one very cheap nasty plastic tweeter. Very poor construction. I bet those speakers sound awful.
