Hi! My name is Loretta, a girl from the U.S. who moved to Japan! I'm here on the MEXT scholarship program as a graduate student, studying to get a Masters in Business Administration. Here are some answers to common questions:
1. Do I Speak Japanese? Yep! I was taught formally in High School and have been speaking now for over 15 years.
2. What are you studying? I'm a recent grad of Yokohama National University's "Masters of Business Administration" Program
3. How old are you?: Year of the dragon. :D The math is up to you.
4. How did you get into Japanese school?: tinyurl.com/yb8...
5. What camera equipment do you use?: I film my videos with a Canon 60D using a 30mm Sigma Art Lens and I edit with Sony Vegas Pro 10 (with some help from photoshop). Additional cameras include GoPro Hero 7 Black and DJI Majic Air

I'm kind of jealous of all the sunflowers right now (they are my favorite flower aside from cherry blossoms)! :) Regarding your learning content, I have always appreciated the videos where you use both Japanese and English. Depending on how I feel, some days I watch without subtitles, some days I use English if I am watching a video that has vocab or grammar I don't know, and other days I feel brave and use Japanese subtitles. You are amazing with providing visual context, and that helps a lot, especially for beginners or lower-intermediate levels. Overall, I've always enjoyed your videos because of your positive personality and excitement, because I love Japan, and I love learning about others' experiences there. They also provide a wealth of information for those interested in studying or working in Japan - or people like me who are working on going into full expat mode. Not only do you address normal day-to-day life, you also give bonuses about food and travel. Please continue this format; I think it's great!

Wow, this was really amazing learning content. There is a lot of stuff on youtube about Japan, but not that much stuff that shows what's it like really living there as a foreigner. The etiquette and rules to follow and the videos about things that are unique to Japan are fun and helpful, but for some reason this feels like a much needed and yet slight different point of view. It feels relaxing and yet very informative (I laughed a bit as I caught the word for outlet, you mentioned in one of your videos about N1 and JLPT). Thanks for all the hard work!

All the food places looked so good! Do you know if they have vegetarian curry at the curry place you went to?
@kemushichan
@kemushichan 5 лет назад
The family that runs Douman is really sweet/nice! You'd need to use Japanese, but I feel like if you asked them about a curry with only veggie toppings that might be an option. The curry as is is full of vegetables, fruits and dates. For vegan though this may be a little harder as the sauce itself is sure to have some sort of animal product in it, but vegetarian might be possible!
