Aaron, I can’t get enough of the dives into that beautiful clear water and watching you guys spear fishing.

I’ve really been praying for you guys since yhe first moment I head you were going to Belize. Last time my wife and I were there (Ambergris) we were stalked by a fairly large crocodile (not alligator). It kept following us in the mangroves and later out when we swam out of the mangroves towards our boat. It was large, persistent and then aggressive when we got back inside the boat. It did not like that we were now out of reach. And we hear many similar stories. So please stay safe out there!

On Caye Caulker there were very few cars, mostly golf carts and bicycles. There is a bar there called “the split” that had picnic tables in the water. I found conch shells everywhere while snorkeling just off the beach. We had a “vacation pet” dog that stayed with us the whole time, we fed him all our leftovers. I loved riding my bike from one end of the island to the other in the morning listening to all the different birds.

Saltines and fresh ceviche is the favorite of this old man. Very versatile dish. I can make it on my boat in Florida or my condo in the mountains.

Stir up the sand with your hand this sand swirl will draw the porgy attention enough to close in for a shots. Once the porgy big eyes lock on you. You will never get close. You have to call them in but they are one of the wildest fish in the ocean but taste so good

That used to be my "back yard." A good portion of my childhood was spent in the Mexican village of Xcalak. My stepmother was born in San Pedro. I believe that I had to go to Belize when my infection got bad from a bite.... Anywhoo, great blast from the past. Stay safe.

Just got back from a trip to Cabo. Went on my first reef spearfishing trip and managed to stone 2 leopard grouper and a hogfish. Went 3 for 5 in 4 hours of free dive spearfishing. I have to say thanks to you for all the info you provide in your videos for me to have a successful trip. I look forward to many more spearfishing trips thanks to your helpful videos!

Those brown patches of corals are Elkhorn. Common in shallow water - seen heaps of the diving in Tobago🤙🏼

Can’t believe you just said that. I obviously heard birds when I was younger, but never really listened or payed attention to them. Now I subconsciously know different bird sounds and find myself paying more attention to them. I’m guessing it is an age thing lol

In Queensland Australia we call these squid tiger squid. Can grow up to be 350 to 450mm tunes. Very delicious

The coral that you mentioned being particularly beautiful is Elkhorn coral, Acropora palmata. It was the predominant coral species that built the reefs in the Florida keys, but over the past 15 years or so it's been decimated to the point of it being rarely seen. In the 70s there were massive thickets of the stuff. I love your videos but the lack of stony corals in the keys these days is positively heartbreaking. Although things look healthy and there is a lot of fish life, the coral reef is not what it used to be even just a few years ago. I started diving the keys back in 1997 and the changes in the health of the reef just kills me. Glad you got to see it in Belize! If you're interested, check out the coral restoration foundation. They work to replant stony corals in the Florida keys.

We have some spots here in SC where the Grouper know exactly the range of a speargun and stay just far enough away. Just a few feet out of range. We call them "city grouper" as they are street smart. They know what's up. Those Porgy know as well. Another great video. Keep em coming😎

Masa is made from nixtamalized ground corn(basically, soaked in an alkali solution). It's very different from cornmeal. And can be incredibly different depending on recipe, grind.....manufacturer.

I spearfish for porgy in Long Island NY and Block Island RI and they’re one of the smartest fish on the reefs around here. My first charter trip I spent like 2-3 hours hunting them, clipped a few, but didn’t get any back to the boat, most spooked before I could even aim my gun. They’ve got a 6th sense for sure. I find that in cruddy viz, once they disappear on you, if you can GENTLY make your way towards the spot where they disappeared from your viz, they’ll come back around to see what they fled from, at which point you might get a shot opportunity
