You can try swimming out from Seal Rock in La Jolla. Here is a map of other spots you can fish: nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FileHandler.ashx?DocumentID=117476&inline
ooo man...I still have yet to catch a YT with a speargun. Yellowtail with a polespear would be nuts! Your aim has got to be on point, or that thing would take you on a ride if it is a good size.
@@divespeareat Agreed! I'd absolutely be using a float line if I were to go out specifically targeting them with the polespear. I've encountered some pretty curious ones while freediving before, and I've always wondered haha...anyways, hope you get the YT soon!
@@RadheadFilms That would be so sick! If you get it on film send it over. I really hope this upcoming summer I could get one. Really looking forward to targeting them this summer!
@@Ruelspearfishingadventures Definitely check out wind, surf, and swells to give yourself the best chance for decent conditions. The last couple of times I had gone was not the best. Here is a site I use regularly to track conditions: magicseaweed.com/Scripps-Pier-La-Jolla-Surf-Report/296/
