Join Joe Pike and Chef Barcley as they head out to catch the UKs top fish to prepare cerviche. The film was shot at coves surrounding the quaint seaside town of Salcombe, in the South West of England.
Another great video adventure Joe! You always make me hungry! Please do a dive on the wreck of the Herzogin Cecilie. The fastest clipper of all time that is in shallow water in Stare Hole just outside Salcombe Harbour. King Kong kory has been there. Cheers
Great shot, great fish, great food, great Friends.. White wine Is better with fish i think.. The mullet carpaccio may be better. try making thin slices, oil, pepper and lemon. enjoy your meal!
Yeah abit of texture and abit of taste I go wild for the taste of bass so when cooking with it I keep it really simple and basically just sear it and devour it, I heard flounder is great ceviche!
when was that video shot because ive been in the area today and its very churned up. also i caught a mullet but i didnt have any ice or coolbag to put it in so i gutted and filleted it up straight away and put it in a plastic bag out of sunlight but im not sure if its safe to eat? does anyone know whether to risk it or not bother?
@@JoePkSpearfishing thanks joe, i ate it and gotta say it tastes a little bit like mud. seen another uk diver called ryan e who eats mullet and says they taste nice but im not all that keen. maybe im doing something wrong? also a good diving spot is burgh island where i went today just if you wanted to know.
@@tombesley9585 The taste of Mullet varies massively. Catch a good one you're in for a treat. They can be awful. Cornwall produces some excellent Mullet.
