If I connect the power to a constant source then isn't that the same as going direct to battery? Shouldn't I tap into ignition wire so they will turn off when the car is off. Spec D Tuning
Thank you for this! I just have 2 questions tho, Could I bypass the quick connectors and just extend the 2 power wires directly to my battery? Also what do I do with the relay wire?
kostonfizzle To answer your first question. Yes, you can get power straight from the battery, but be aware that it is a constant power source and there will power going to lights even if the vehicle is off. As for the relay wire; You need the relay to have power going to it so when you turn the switch on it will run the power to the fog light bulbs and you want the relay to be grounded for this to work. Ground the relay before you have power going to it otherwise you might blow your fuse.
I'm having trouble with connecting the quick connector to a power source. I don't really understand which wire exactly to connect it to. And how do you know which is ACC or 12V? Are they the same? And what about the relay? My fogs come with a 12v Relay, which I don't know exactly what it's for... Assistance would be much appreciated!
I've found a wire that provides power, connected it with the quick connectors, and tested the plug that goes into the fog lights with my multimeter to make sure that I am receiving the 12v's of power necessary to turn the fog lights on. However, i still cannot get the fog lights to turn on. Does anyone have any suggestions?
