After making the last #5minphysics video on the first 5 minutes I realized I could expand on it to explain, in detail, how we predict the abundance of light elements in the Universe in order to compare to observations.. one of the triumphs of the Big Bang picture of the expanding Universe, and in so doing, show you the graph in my wallet that I referred to in my book A Universe from Nothing.

hmm well mutually exclusive deities defined as space ghosts made of nothing and sitting in nothing forever and without time ....that can't be demonstrated in any way is a nonsensical enough and unbelievable claim on it's own .....without needing to know anything about this universe .....but whatever helps

Excellent, Dr. Krauss, thank you. I love your picture you carry with you to show people that the Big Bang really happened. I'm sure that goes a long way with creationists. I'd love to watch their reaction to being shown that: "Oh yeah, I see it there, it's crystal clear on your graph, you're right, the Big Bang did happen!" lol

This almost moved me to tears! What a beautifully elegant way of showing this phenomenon. I'm so in awe of the measurements made to calculate these predictions, it's hard to follow without pausing and going back over things! It all genuinely makes sense after a couple of views of each segment! Thanks Lawrence! I'm still waiting for a reading list for my redshift education though!

13.7 billion years explained in 5 mins (ok....give or take 12 mins) ;-). Astounding!. Thanks again Lawrence (sorry, should I say Professor Krauss? I don't mean to be disrespectful!). If anybody still believes otherwise after that unequivocal, indisputable, empirical observations based on those predictions and beautifully described in 5 mins, then as far I'm concerned, it would be waste of oxygen even trying!

@lawrencekrauss when we talk about the universe being a second old, super hot and dense. (Not sure how to ask this) would the density of the universe at that state in time have influence over how time "passed"? So would a second in a universe that dense be a lot longer relative to a second in our universe and would it have any influence over any interactions between particles in that universe. Or maybe I don't make sense haha. Thanks, and great series man!

Relatively speaking a mild to warm fart could be considered intense heat compared to absolute zero or colder Universe, right? (Like Voyager Probes wall of Fire beyond helios-shield, got no prediction about that intense temperature since equations can still retain values after algebra reconfiguration) I hope Einstein is not disappointed who limited the universe as a machine, whereas differently I think it in combination sometimes even more like a plant organism. I think I have a good guess about at least 4 GROWTH fluctuations which have not decreased but only increases, matter, energy, and exceptionally gravity combinations by area expansions multiplied/added. I like making good guesses before experts confirm with published repetitive emphasis, sometimes limited publication, and sometimes NOWAYS duplicating a journal extremely unknown to me whrefore I am reinventing wheels unknown. Caring less about reputation, regardless I like to think I first thought something out, and so I like to inquire for my wonders. Have yall of academia heard anyone else announce , "Solar Systems spread out thereby interstellar winds against helios-shield, and matter grown benefited also thereby MULTI-FACETED gravities", because I am guessing that is where your arithmetic can be re-interpreted into my different message. Oh hey, what do you think about that?

So many astrophysicists felt in love with this theory of BBN that they ignored its drawbacks. This theory completely ignores the existence of antimatter and failed to predict the ratio of deuterium by far. Which leads to a complete absurd conclusion that the most abundant substance in the universe can not be found here on earth or our solar system.
