Im a CBP Officer. People also need to keep in mind that as a Uniformed Officer once you are off the clock you are off the clock. Special Agents are usually on call. Everything career have their plus and minus.

Agents have duty. On call but it’s really split between the agents in that office. It’s not bad at all in most offices

Could you do more videos on the secret services? I wish to learn as much as I can about them since it’s my dream job.

Don't forget 1810 series special agents (general investigator). I worked in thi capacity for what is now called the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) conducting government background investigations. A great career path especially for those interested in an unarmed position. In addition to your GS salary you also receive additional locality pay in an amount depending on your geographic location. I started as a GS-7 and progressed to the GS-12 level in a few short years.

I love your videos. I'm a Lieutenant with an agency of seven sworn officers. 25+ years. Anyway I know you did one on the US Army CID, could you feature one on Army Military Police? I know it's a little different than CID, just curious

There’s not a mandatory 20 year retirement. You’re eligible to retire after 20 years and at age 50 or 25 years and at any age.

i’m currently 19 attending college for a bachelors in criminal justice. I was thinking on applying for different homeland security positions. should i start applying now or wait until i finish my degree?
@dr.faraday6447
@dr.faraday6447 2 месяца назад
I’m 19 and studying criminal justice too. I spoke to some agents and they said they started applying in their senior year. I’m thinking of going for USSS uniformed division or border patrol since they’re the easiest to get into and transfer to another federal law enforcement job after a few years

@@dr.faraday6447 it’s good to see someone my age going for the same thing. Thanks for the information, i’ve also heard the same thing that’s it’s good to apply to almost every agency because it’s not guaranteed to get into the one you really want. But as long as you get in do couple years then you can transfer into the agency you really want

What would we be best for me as a USMS special forces applicant, to go into special forces in the military or get a college degree while being on the reserves ?
@ghostJC1126
@ghostJC1126 4 месяца назад
Get your degree, majority of agents are just college grads some with military. Only meet a damn few with spec ops plus degree in that field. If you’re thinking you’ll be kicking down doors as a Marshal, nope. Takes years to get out on a fugitive task force.

@@rothefoe11 no worries, I’ll just give you some advice. If you fail at first, keep pursuing. If you want to be a door kicker, FBI really is the only Federal agency with a dedicated door kicking unit HRT. There’s also Nuclear Courier which are mostly all Spec Forces guys. FAST teams for DEA were disbanded almost a decade ago.
@jimbrown7069
@jimbrown7069 3 месяца назад
Trust me, DEA still kicks in doors. FAST was simply the foreign deployed unit. Domestic DEA offices kick in doors on a regular basis.
@ghostJC1126
@ghostJC1126 3 месяца назад
@jimbrown7069 They utilize their SRT teams and some Groups do, but mostly this new gen of management wants these specialized units to conduct these enforcement operations. Even one of the original FAST team members (we had a conversation at a bar) stated they have moved away from these type of enforcement. I observed this as well, but I blame the Administrator. Plus, being assigned to these SRT units, you’re still a case agent. FBI, Marshals, and Bortac, are the only specialized units that primarily focus on just that (not a collateral duty).

Does the Central Intelligence Agency ( CIA) have It's Own Police, or else, does the Federal Protective Service conducts Law Enforcement activities on board It's Langley, Virginia HQ and at " The Farm " at Camp Peary?
@FederalUncovered
@FederalUncovered 10 месяцев назад
Yes CIA has its own police force, it’s called CIA Police. Their primary duties is protecting CIA’s properties so you’ll be patrolling around in their buildings.
