Updates all this time later, Sony dropped Dr Luke and is no longer affiliated with Kemosabe or Sony and Kesha has a new album coming out with a new album titled "Rainbow" coming out August 11 and will be mainly produced by Ryan Lewis

Never been a fan of Ke$ha, but I'm definitely hoping for the best for her during this tough time.

You're ignoring the fact that when Mark said "not promoting," he didn't mean not promoting--he meant not releasing. Sony would not put the money forward they would need to in order for her to release an album-she would get shelved like every other Kemosabe artist, because they aren't going to invest anything in an artist that has tarnished their name. The same thing happened between Sony and Michael Jackson. They've said that she could work with other producers, but that's not entirely the case--she still would be signed to his label, he would still be profiting off of her.

I loved kesha since her first album, and it sucks that she is going through this, I know she will pull through, I know I'm missing some kesha In my life, and I wish he'd the best with this situation. #FreeKesha!!!!!

Cases like this are messy. Sad thing is, Kesha is not the only person that has made those accusations against Dr. Luke. Numerous women have made the same accusations against him (before Kesha's case and possibly during and after Kesha's case as well) and somehow Sony hasn't fired him yet.

The worst thing about this is that this whole event is being used by people to push some kind of narative, whether it's "the media protects abusers" or on the otherside it's "women usually lie about rape" or whatever stupid other narative people want to push. I'm a Kesha fan, so I feel more inclined to side with her, but it is important to think about this logically. I'm not going to start protesting and throw out every sony product that I have...that's just stupid.

Thanks to have made this video, I think that it's a sad story but it's important to speak up about it, even if the whole situation just sucks...

Can't say I believe her about the rape allegations, especially when she denied working with a different producer and other things popping up, but I can see the hell of going through the legal bullshit for years and your money's going down the drain, losing popularity and you'd rather not suffer through fucking 8 more albums. I really hope she didn't make up the rape thing just to get out of her contract though, that's something horrible to do no matter what. For now, I just don't know enough to really say. Best of luck to both of them, I guess. Funny thing to note: Kelly Clarkson is supporting Kesha and she's known Luke for a while now. Just something I'd thought would be fun to mention.

I really don't agree with the bias towards Dr Luke, it really seems to come off as a total slander and paints Kesha as this angel that could never make poor decisions in her entire life. I mean to start off, the fact she signed the contract in her self really makes this whole thing tricky to just full on end. About your point wih the lying under oath. I felt that your argument that Kesha is a "smart woman" holds no substance. Think about it, we have a system put in place designed to protect Kesha by placing her testimony into a safe domain and ultimately protect her from an alleged rapist yet she "lies" and digs a deeper hole for when she eventually does decide to lay claims on Dr Luke? Speaking of which, why do you suggest that Kesha is freer now to comment on Dr Luke's rapes and not free to comment on them when put into the protective space of an oath? This very basic assesment of the case really holds no evidence to suggest Dr Luke did rape Kesha in the first place. Isn't that the entire crux of her wanting to leave Dr Luke and Sony? Why does she not just opt to get Dr Luke in jail for raping her?

Is it just me, or can this 17 minute video literally be condensed down to "even if Dr. Lukewarm is innocent, he should confess anyway. After all, it's better for a man to die than for a woman to be doubted." Whether she lied then or lied now, Kesha's guilty of perjury. We've taught women that there are no repercussions to lying, especially I'm court. Attitudes like yours are the reason that sociopaths exist. If Dr. Like is innocent, he should fight, to his last breath, because it's the only chance he'll ever have of having a clear name.
