What you said was pure truth. There is nothing more disgusting than Kesha's label treating her the way they are. I think it would be kind of amazing if this video could go viral, or maybe Kesha's whole situation with RCA going viral.. She honestly needs to be fixed. Not because she hurt herself; she needs to be fixed because her label broke her. And it must happen NOW before they kill her career completely.
Oh my God, This video was amazing, since Ke$ha debuted I've been a fan but people always branded her as a party girl or a joke... When I heard some of her others songs like Hungover, C U Next Tuesday, and Animal I was convinced that she was more than the party girl and actually more articulate than what everyone else gave her credit for. She's an amazing artist and I completely agree with what you say in this video. I know Ke$ha will get will get the creative control she deserves, she's an underminded artist.
This video was incredible and is exactly why Ke$ha is my favorite female singer. She has an incredible talent for many genres, pop/mainstream hip-hop of course, but also rock, country, alternative. Songs like Meet Me In Space, Innocence and Pills, Pretty Lady, Dancing With The Devil, Machine Gun Love and You Control My Heart and many more prove that. She deserves creative freedom and her label, mainly Dr. Luke, are idiots for not seeing her talents.
Kesha now belongs to Sony, not RCA. I know at the time you made and uploaded this it was RCA, but I think it shows it was more Doctor Luke, rather than the company she belongs to. I hate him to no end.
You know, I remember in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy when Ke$ha strangely claimed that she was "forced" to cut "Die Young". At the time, it struck me as a pathetic retort that few would believe one moment as previous tweets of hers had pointed to an enthused tone about the cut. Now, after this and other red unsettling signs pointing from Dr. Luke's camp in recent months, I have to say I may have been wrong. Ke$ha may have been telling the truth (partially, at least) =(
I thought that Warrior had a lot of potential coming it's way.. With songs like Out Alive, Past Lives, Last Goodbye, Thinking Of You, Wonderland, All That Matters (The Beautiful Life), Warrior, Gold Trans Am, and Love Into the Light.. These are probably her best and it's a shame this album never took off because of her label

RCA also did this to AVRIL LAVIGNE with What The Hell & Smile!!!! that is a problem with RCA tey try to control. Avril was wanting to make a raw ballads album but the label didn't support what she was doing so they made her make What The Hell a single and on the album along with Smile. they made her pick those when Avril wanted to show up with Ballads and show a different sude of her but the label really abandon those songs and only cared for ones like Smile & What The Hell. they made them the singles and if u look at Goodbye Lullaby..those 2 songs are such big afterthoughts
Exactly! Goodbye lullaby had a ton more potential than what RCA had in mind. I completely agree with her movement to Epic records instead. I think it was a great idea.
Also, the irony about Pitbull in all of this is that he shares many of the same attributes as will.i.am in all that's appalling about the music industry. Yet, I can't help but like Pitbull in some respects. Why? Because unlike will.i.am, who always sounds emotionally detached and uninterested in his own material as of late, Pitbull always sounds like he is having the time of his life. His energy and enthusiasm is unmistakable. He may be a shrill, and he may drop lyrics equally as asinine as will.i.am, but at the very least he is actually having fun peddling his product. At least it's coming from somewhere real.
***** His incessant self-aggrandizement has increasingly been getting on my nerves as of late, admittedly. Yeah, we get it: you went from rags to riches, have a majority share in Voli Vodka, you work very hard and like classy, nasty women. Good for you. Yet, I can't help but respect him more than many critics do. Because he actually sounds and performs like he is living each day as if it was his last. He sounds like he is throwing a party during his actual studio sessions. So he comes across as believable, even when I know he is playing us much the same way will.i.am does and there is nary a scrap of substance in his work.
Once the label gives her control her career will fail. The companies know what they are doing don't question them. If you want to release what you want. Make your own label.
But kemosabe is really to blame for most of this. Sure RCA is affiliated with it, but she was or still is a part of kemosabe which is a branch off if RCA. Maybe they don't know the full extent? Idek. Its so sad. Hopefully this next album really slays and is amazing.
I personally think The E.N.D. album by BEP is a solid album. It is musically great & it is revolutionary. I can easily say it is the best body of work Will.i.am has ever released with his name on it. The rest of his work is garbage.
It mostly succeeds to me, but also is marred by its obvious share of filler. It's a record that has a handful of strong singles (minus "Imma Be", which has no redeeming qualities the other four singles had), along with a couple of decent-enough deeper cuts ("Missing You", "Party All The Time")........but the rest is filler that adds nothing at best, and is insufferable at worst. Still, sometimes a string of solid singles can be a saving grace of sorts. "The Beginning" didn't even have that. "Just Can't Get Enough" was the only passable single on that album, and the only album track I even remotely liked was "Fashion Beats". The rest was absolute garbage.

i knew from the beginning Ke$Ha wasn't real. the whole trashy thing wasn't going for me. i knew she wasn't really like it. you could tell she was forced. and then Warrior had a good feel to it. it wasn't like Cannibal or Animal. and those were the fake drunk party life. you make a good point. she probably wanted other singles...and In My Opinion Ke$Ha thought her image was good but now her label is forcing her when she wants to change her image because its gotten so..i've probably said it
Rafael Beckman If you try to imply someone who writes all their own songs, wrote 200+ solo songs before fame, has 100+ unreleased songs including country, rock, pop rock, blues and EDM, plays banjo, guitar, piano and works with Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, The Flaming Lips, Patrick Carney and Iggy Pop isn't ''talented'' then I sure would like to know what your idea of talented is and why she is not. And don't give me the pop image bullshit.
Rafael Beckman Kesha's respected by a lot of critics and by a lot of alternative and indie artists. I don't think she'd get respect if she wasn't talented.
