Cool job! This was second on my dream sheet but I was lucky and got my first to be a loadmaster, I’ll be shipping out March 3.

@Dylan I signed for my job on December 4, so total time I’ll be in the DEP is 3 months. I also wanted to leave ASAP because the recruitment process has been forever for me, but at the end of the day if you get the job you want I think it would be fine waiting for!

I’ve heard that load masters travel a lot. Does A special mission aviator travel as much, and do they just travel within the US or outside the states?

Yes you may have the opportunity to travel a lot since you’re attached to an aircraft and usually are attached to a special ops squadron so you’re chances of traveling and deploying is much higher load masters travel a ton though because their entire job involves them traveling with cargo in their respective cargo jet usually a C-17, C-130, or C-5 in most cases

You will serve food. Cafeteria life, but you can also advise patients on diet and nutrition. That’s what Diet Therapy does.

C-130's + CV22's: Hurlburt Field FL Hueys: Fairchild AFB WA, FE Warren AFB, Malmstrom AFB MT, Minot AFB ND, Andrews AFB MD HH-60's: Moody AFB GA, Nellis AFB NV, Davis Monthan AFB AZ, Aviano AB Italy NSAV: Hurlburt Field FL (TDY Students only) I washed out of this career field, Like he said... be in the books!!

That's just the first part of ground school at the Center of Excellence.

The minimum passing score on test's is 85% . Theres two parts to tech school in Lackland. Aircrew fundamental's(about to weeks) and basic Special mission aviator course . Should be about two and a half months total.

@@Kylinwhitehead you can always reenlist, you can't take time away, don't let anyone at MEPS pressure you into a 6 year contract, the military is more than what you think and less than what you think, a truly rewarding experience but do NOT lock in over half a decade of your life to it when you haven't experienced it truly
