Kay pushed clouds and some rain into Southern California, but it's unclear how big the storm's impact will be because it's expected to weaken as it moves north.
It was so hot when it first started ut took 2 hrs just for it to stay on the ground becuase forv2 hours it was sprinkling but ut kept being dry on the ground
"We seeing big rain drops, I don't know if that matters but that's what we're seeing and it's strange" We're so unaccustomed to water falling from the sky in CA 😅 It's no joke though, the droplets are pretty big!
The last time a Tropical Storm directly hit California was Hurricane Nora (downgraded) in 1997. Keep in mind that was during a strong El Niño event as well. Very rare indeed.
Thank God for the rain and cooler temperatures! I hope it continues for a while. Maybe it’ll put out the fires! Here in Laguna Hills, CA, we had a strong downpour today. The temperature has dropped 20 degrees. Hallelujah!
Finally some relief from the heat LOL it's been 105°+ here for like 2 weeks - today it's 73° and "raining" (drizzling, which it's fine, so we don't flash flood away). We only need like 10 more of these tropical hurricanes!
We could do way more to capture rain and snow run off and force it to percolate into the land rather than letting it run out to sea or lakes where it evaporates quickly when hot. California is going to turn into desert if we don't start capturing virtually every bit of rain and snowmelt run off through permaculture. If all landowners were made to do permaculture projects on every bit of land from the high mountains to foothills to the valleys, almost all run off would be forced to percolate into the ground instead of flooding or running off. Its better to store the water in the ground because it doesn't evaporate. Water stored in lakes can have an evaporation rate of 90 percent in extreem circumstances. Other benefits from extensive permaculture is healthier forests, more water for farmers as well as city folk, less chances of flooding, and a much better local environment that's full of plants that are soaking up all that bad carbon in the air.
@@michaelguerra1644 Not sure where you live, however San Diego will be fine. Only issue is people not knowing how to drive on the roads when it rains. Outside of that, no issues just a nice relief in hot weather and great for the yards. Good luck where you live.
Heatwaves from the States are increasingly pushing further into Canada. So my guess is that California will just get hotter as we loose ice up north and in the Rockies. What’s interesting to see is the tree line inching north over time. And permafrost breaking some hills apart. Also insects moving into different areas.
I sure hope the couples dog survives. They had 5 or 6 dogs one took off . The lady said he is in his yard. What happens if the fire goes towards that area. Poor dog. They seemed like he will be ok. Hmm.when u have animals I think it’s best to leave even it’s 4 miles or more . I don’t no how close the fire was but I would have taken at least 2 min. extra to get the dog.
I wonder how tesla cars will withstand flooding water? Are battery packs waterproof? What happens to tesla car when car is drawn in flooding water? Will it danger a driver?
If you are that concerned...then ease your mind and do not purchase one. And Tesla is not the only brand on the market. It is only a Ban for gas powered cars to no longer be sold in California. Not a mandate for everyone to drive electric cars, ride bikes or take public transit. It is common for Democrats to announce to the public ahead of time their intentions to see about any public opinions or changes in laws that might be needed. In contrast, the Republicans tend to bicker in secret behind closed doors then issue laws with iron fists. This law is not to take effect until 2035. So please review these proposed laws carefully before taking only a few words to announce to social media to frighten the public.
Pookie and Ray Ray gots they 29 kayaks ready that they gots from bass pro shop last night ohhh around 4:30 just foe shore bro I mean the ish goes down bro
I doubt that this kills the drought, at least the temps down. We received over 10 inches in two days. Sugar Land Texas. 42 inches from Hurricane Harvey a few years back. We had 2 days in a row of 17 inches plus.
Special Report: Tropical Storm Kay 1924pm 11.9.12 i think my weather friends in america must have dumped me as i am not getting any storm live streams through the days...
Heavy rain is measured in feet. Such drama about such a non-event, typical So. Cal. A North Sea rain jacket when a little rain falls in the desert? She can put it back into storage now.
if you have 2 million to start a small business.. you can afford to rebuild. Not to mention the money these people can scam insurance into giving them.
How to be saved and be right with God for eternal life! 1-Admit you’re a sinner and be willing to turn from your own self righteousness to God. 2-Believe onto Jesus Christ, who being the begotten Son of God, died on the cross, was buried and resurrected for the full forgiveness of our sins as a free gift. 3-Confess onto God,asking to be saved accepting this free gift of salvation, to start a new life being born again after being saved from your sins. Scripture links below. The romans road to salvation. 1.Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" 2.Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 3.Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." 4.Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all that have sinned:" 5.Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 6.Romans 10:9, “That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” 7.Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. More scripture. John 3:16-17 16."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” 17.”For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” Romans 5:8-9 8."But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9."Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 1."Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2."By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” 3."For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” 4."And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
Lol. All day long. 14 minutes on nothing. What an incredibly soft society we live in these days. It may be the end of us. A three minute segment would have given the viewers all of the information needed, then you could have moved reported some really important news. Oh, wait, I forgot, you don't do that. Why report the issues that no one has courage to work on when you can divert society with made-up drama. Journalism has died.
