You're right about saddle fitting. That Specialized fitting tool where you sit on and tells your sit bone length and saddle recommendations is actually really helpful.

are you still riding the saddle? also is the elaston still holding up or is it wearing down with less support? thank you

how did you get on with the elaston? deciding between just buying the power pro arc or if the elaston padding makes any diffrence

I’ve got both, there’s a little difference. I would say the elaston is much better at absorbing the high frequency buzz you get from a rough road or a road that has a coarse chip seal. The nose is a little softer, maybe too soft as there’s not much structure to it on comparison to the standard foam. I wouldn’t pay a big premium for it, but if it’s on sale or just a small bump in price I’d buy one again.

Hi, I have the standard Power Comp saddle. I’m strongly considering bumping up to the Elaston model. Main reason is I want more comfort on my sitbones, is there a big difference in that regards between the two models ? Thanks.

Hi, man. Thanks for informations! But I need more. I have difficulties in accommodating my ischees and mainly lack of blood supply due to pressure on the perineum. In terms of mold, not soft, does a 155mm elaston accommodate better than the normal Power 155mm? Something else also caught my attention, is the central channel a little bigger in elaston? And finally the rails, if i buy the elaston, do these carbon rails fit normally in my seatpost or do i have to buy a compatible from Specialized? Thanks for listening ✌🏻🚲

Hi, ohh tricky questions. I think the nose on the elaston is a big softer, possible to soft if you spend a lot of time climbing on the rivet. I think the mold shape is pretty much identical, possible a fraction taller, I’d say the central channel is the same. I’ve got the titanium rails, so I’m not sure regarding the carbon rail version, most require a different seatpost clamp.

I've had a test saddle for 2 weeks that is a normal Power i believe. tomorrow I'm gonna head back to the shop to return the test saddle. I'm planning on buying the Power "Arc" Elaston 155mm. the "arc" designation indicates level 2 padding (a tad bit thicker, intended to be better for longer rides etc) as opposed to level 1 padding on the non-arc models. I'm partially dropping this comment now so I'll remember to check the rails and cutout size for you while I'm at the shop. I'll let you know what I see.

The cutout was the same size from what i could tell, but the rails were just a few millimeters narrower. I'm not sure if that makes a difference though as i wasn't able to test it on my bike
