GC Performance ......Can’t wait to see it...I’m thinking, I like more of the Aethos paint schemes better though....Plus, the Aethos puts “a shot across the bow” of the other manufactures to best its lower weight. Which should help us, the consumer, hopefully, not in the wallet!

In my opinnion I think the rapide sounds a little thicker because of the deeper rim and allows it to echo more

@AG Coarseman I aethos is the lightest production bike I have seen at 5.9kg, so about a kilo on most UCI legal bikes

I have it looks really clean and gloss, look up mack cycles on instagram they have a video of it

yea I was kind of bummed with both colors to be honest, the frames they released all look so cool but they picked purple and pink for the colors to sell as comlete bikes, I understand one girl and one guy but both purp and pink, I think they missed the mark

Its very difficult to say and I have a video coming out because I have an aethos pro now because I wanted to ride it.... but by the numbers it doesnt seem like a insane bike or a nice bike, but the feel of this bike is absolute insnane, the ride quality is by far the most smoothest bike i have rode in a long time and feels responsive as an aero bike just without the beat up on the body

@@GCPerformance18 Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful bike and I am sure that a lot of thought and innovation went into it. But the selling point of this bike, and the huge marketing effort, is focused on its light weight. One can say the same aspects you mentioned above about any top of the line bike - "ride quality", "smoothness" etc. - "feel" is completely subjective. And when it comes down to it, you can't say that the TCR, one of the best known racing bikes out there, is not light, stiff and responsive. this year's model is also much more aero. I compared weight only (which again, is the selling point of the Aethos) between two disc break bikes, both top of the line (not the "pro" models), and came up with ~200 grams difference. An average banana weighs about 120 grams. People getting so excited with the marketing hype but don't realize that it doesn't really makes them much faster, if at all. 200 grams is not much at all. One can argue that this bike makes them slower overall. At the end of the day, even up a hill, aerodynamics plays a huge roll. And the TCR, heck - even the SL7, are MUCH more aero. It need to be one long and VERY steep hill to have any real difference in time to account for this 200 grams LOL.

@@2pacjordan the most important thing is that most ppl don’t care about being faster. We just want a nice bike that we feel happy to ride. You feel happy riding a giant? Good for you. I know I won’t, so cheap and good as a giant is, it’s a waste of money to me since it doesn’t bring me happiness. An aethos does, and bought it I did.

lmao, they forgot about them until the end hahahahah, naw they just wanted to make a bike that was not integrated and proprietary parts on it so that way you didn't need a specific headset or stem to make it work, its a bike that can stand the time

The seat stays on my Ridley Fenix SL are even thinner, and they've held up fine. The price, I don't blame you lol....waste of money to spend $12k on a non-motorized bike (you can buy a GSX-R750 for the same price). I really hope people buy less of these types of bikes, but they won't, and manufacturers will just keep raising prices because they know people will begrudgingly pay for it.

they have nicer color options too the frame also comes in a purple color
