It's a first look, not a review.

First look at the brochure, yes. But why not look further if you are right in front of the bike?

I think it's some sort of restriction from the company ( Specialized ). Like with a new car that's being released, all magazines are only allowed to do a "first impression" video, later on show the driving footage and do a full review.

So true, until the UCI relax the rules in frame dimension design, all the new aero bikes will look very similar (similar if they want a bike with good aerodynamics that is).

Looking very similar to the Propel. Must have all came out from the same factory.

.... how sad to see how they have ruined the lines of a wonderful bike. that cockpit identical to a Canyon, those squared tubes shapes. Where would the aerodynamics be?

It was the fastest bike in the world, (Madone was even better aerodynamically than Vias) I will no longer believe in Specialized sweet advertising.

Matty P How do you know it’s less Aero? All the info coming out from the launch that’s it’s still more aero than the previous model.

should really add the words less 'focused on' aero. The competitors bikes are within 0.5-0.8kg of this bike with deeper wheels. I would take any of the other bikes over this bike as that weight means nothing to me as a non-competitive rider where as over a sportive even a marginal aero benefit would be felt. That's why aero bikes are such a revelation. The aero benefits outweigh weight penalties. I just feel specialized have missed the boat here. And this bike is more expensive than competitors.
