Did you get back to Bruce’s garden for a late fall tour? This is my favorite thing to see on your channel! He’s amazing! Thanks for showing us his beautiful gardens.
Bruce's vegetable garden "room" is the stuff of dreams! Please please talk him into a video explaining how he built it - This is something I would *love* in my SC lowcountry garden. :)
Justin. Thanks for showing this garden. I appreciate that it is organized, neat and visually appealing. I always enjoy your content. You are so respectful and restrained in this video but I can still see that energy that gives your channel so much appeal. Great Job my Friend. Cheers!
I loved this video so much; I watched it twice! Bruce, your garden is absolutely gorgeous, thank you for allowing Justin and Alex to make another videotape of it, and for letting us tag along. I have planted flowers and vegetables together for as long as I can remember because that's how my parents and grandparents gardened. I also don't like using pesticides in my garden, so I either hand-pick the chewing bugs, or (recently) I've put agricultural insect fabric over the brassicas. I follow a YT channel called, 'Susan's In The Garden', and I got the idea from her last year. That fabric even keeps the aphids and white flies out. I'm looking forward to watching your next garden tour! Have a great week! ~Margie🤗💐🐝🦋
Justin and Bruce you are a delight to watch as well as practical and informative, love your videos, the vegetable garden set up is just clever. Regards from Ontario, Canada.
❤❤❤ your videos, please send love to Bruce! I almost fell out of my chair when he said mix collards with mustards!!! My grandmother made them that way!
I love that he has a level yard. My new home is rocky hilly and needs a lot of help. Bruce will be my new hero! Love his yard and garden. Praying mine gets there soon!!
I love Bruce's garden.I also love when he talks about how a spot in the garden may look different now than it looked this summer, you guys take the time and put up a picture of what it looked like this summer. That totally brings Bruce's message into better focus, great filming and great editing. Thanks.
I'm with you on the mustard greens! So underrated. Nice peppery taste that can be eaten raw in salad or lightly cooked like collards. Use in place of lettuce and GREAT cold tolerance.
I found out why my collards weren’t growing so well the last few yrs via your channel. Not enough nitrogen! This year at Christmas I cut individual leaves off instead of cutting the main stem and they’ll soon be ready to harvest again. Thank you 😁 Edit: today three was after this post I harvested 19lbs of collard green leaves
I could just listen to both of you for hours, talking about plants of course :) From Michigan, there's something about that drawl! Thanks for all the info!
I love the Bruce tours. This and the first tour has encouraged me to plant conifers. I recently purchased winter discount trees from this past Christmas from the big box stores. Alberta spruce, juniper, boxwoods, false cypress, winterberry and arborvitae for as low as a dollar per plant. I have 27 new evergreens to start my new beds with. So excited to get started. I’m in upstate New York as these will add so much winter interest. They will boost my Christmas light display as well. Thank you for sharing your gardens. So many great planting ideas have come from these 2 videos.
In love with...everything about this video...another great job and lovely lovely grounds...I especially loved the garden structure with all the raised garden beds. Watching you guys makes me miss when I lived in NC - love that southern charm and hospitality. Thanks Bruce for inviting us to look through the window of your landscape...Can't forget to give a huge shoutout to Alex! Hey Alex! Nicely done! ☺🌺🍁
Hey girl hey! As soon as I seen your name I was like ❤ haha! Thank you ❤️ I got to try my hand at filming a cooking video at Bruce’s house so I hope it turns out well! (Next video 🤫)
Thank you for an updated tour. I never knew how much I wanted a fenced vegetable patch until I saw Bruce’s. He is such a trailblazer and certainly a leader, not a follower. Love it.
This is such a great garden. I feel in love with it the first time you did a tour of it and I'm looking forward to the next one in the late fall or winter. Thank you Justin and Bruce!
Another great video. I too have been "foodscaping" for several years. I prefer to call it edibles in the landscape. With a small yard like mine it is a necessity.
I’m definitely going to try Bruce’s grandmama’s recipe. Now Bruce we can eat collards, but boiled peanuts?! No sir, we just can’t do the boiled peanuts.🤢 We had some really good collards in Savannah. Vance and I really enjoyed this video. And now that we have met all of you (including Lulu) the video is even more special!
Can't wait to see how you care for your plants in Winter! I live in the midwest and all my tropical plants have been dying coz I left them outside when the weather was a little above freezing...😒
I was so glad I found this video! I just love Bruce and his garden tours! I watched the summer one along with one of you at your greenhouse and was hooked! I did become a plant person! I only wish y’all were closer, but at least I’m in the same zone! I still haven’t found my candy corn spurs or jazz hands Lora. I got a bunch of stuff though and now if the heat doesn’t kill me first I’m out to get more plants!
I did foodscaping to keep the deer away from my azaleas and hibiscus. I planted green onions, oregano, basil, and mums around them. It's so dry here that I've noticed the deer around but not near these plants so far. This is August, 2023.
I'm new to gardening in NC and to fall gardening. Just this week, all my broccoli and brussel sprout seedlings had their stems severed about 1" above ground and the tops just left laying next to the stem stubs. I've been told the culprit is probably squirrels. Does the fencing around this garden help keep squirrels out or will they just climb up and over? Any suggestions for squirrel control?
