Spectracide Weed Stop Review. It doesn't work!

As a homeowner, I'm constantly battling weeds in my St Augustine lawn. I tried this weed killer that is safe for lawns but it just didn't work. It didn't hurt the lawn at all, however as you can see in the video, it didn't kill the weeds either. There are 3 different type of weeds I tested it on. Neither completely died out. If I did anything wrong, please let me know. I'm not a professional but I followed the instructions on the container to the letter.

Bought a house this winter. Found four bottles in garage. Has not killed , only wounded a few weeds. They are rebounding.

Funny, I’m bumping into this video now two weeks after I used it. For me it hasn’t killed any weeds. The most its done is made some look a little beat up but nothing has changed.

Wish I wouldve seen this review before I spent money on it last weekend. Definitely did not work even a little bit.

I did a lot of video research on this product. I have purchased and will blanket my front and side lawn. I am going to give this product the benefit of the doubt.

It does not work. I actually did the same as you, 3 weeks ago around first of May. Still have the weeds. Very disappointing!!!

It didn't work for me or my neighbor. We followed the instructions to a T! It says specifically that it is for crabgrass. The crabgrass are still sitting on my lawn defiantly.

Are those weeds listed on the container? It will only kill those on the list. It seems that you don't know what kind of plants you have on your lawn. I applied the sprayer on nutsedge and it worked within 3 hours. The next day all the nutsedge was killed.

I put in 10oz. per gallon instead of 5 but it didn't do much

Do not water lawn prior to using. Wait for weeds to be thirsty then spray then water. Label says to do this.

Yes that’s why u also want to cut 2/3 days before because you are encouraging growth and if the weed is cut and thirsty and you feed it herbicides the plant will absorb more.

Has anyone use a surfactant with the application? I bought the product months ago and I will be using it tomorrow. Cross my fingers.

Buy the Concentrated formulation and it will be stronger when mixed with water and add .5 oz of a Surfactant to optimize the application.

It works. you might need to add shampoo or dishwash for it to be effective.

That tip might work but my opinion is, why would I have to add anything to a product that should work out of the bottle?

Bc if a surfactant was added to the bottle they would charge more, and u would consider another product

A Surfactant helps the weedkiller stick to the weeds to absorb the Herbacide better and not bead off like water on a waxed car.

I just tried yesterday and temperature was around 80 and it did not changed anything. waste of time and money.

And on their commercials they talk about out of control weeds. Some of those out of control weeds are edible and actually have health benefits. Pesticides and herbicides are bad for human health. If people are walking by, it can affect them even.
