This channel is dedicates to the DIYer and anyone who likes to tackle things themselves. I'm not an expert but rather, someone who is willing to try a job and get it done right. I've learned so much from the RU-vid community and I hope to be able to return the same.
That looks like a lot of greasy pumpkin man. I’m thinking all you need to do is put like 3 to 4 pumps of it in. You can’t over grease it. You could fuck your breaks up and your bearings.
Fun fact, you can glue your transducer to the floor and your fish finder will work fine. Even aluminum. I've seen guys use Velcro too for a less permanent option.
Thank you kind Sir. I saw this at our local Costco earlier for $179.99 but did not get it until your review, so after typing this, I am going back to Costco. Luckily we only live less than 10 min drive. Appreciate the video. Thanks again and great video.
@@ASD-DAD we love it. No more picking up the bottle to install upside down. Awesome unit and easy to turn the switches on and off on the back upper edge. But we just leave them all ON. Highly recommended.
Just an FYI my friend. Baby that passthru ratchet. After almost 20 yrs of wrenching mine needs to be replaced or fixed. If that's the Craftsman one it can not be replaced what so ever . Currently looking for a rebuild kit myself for one.
This is the best video that i have found on this replacement/repair. My back glass spontaneously combusted last week, and insurance wont pay for it, and GM is giving me the runaround.
Good job describing how to access the transmission line keepers under the plastic retaining caps! I was looking at those and wondering. Also, mine has the 8.1 L engine which has the other side transmission line set. Same issue with the retaining clips. I was wondering if you replaces any o-rings for those lines?
I was thinking placing a top on a canue like an aircraft canipy; Have the top locked down onto the ottom but have a canipy where the seat is (custom placed in to lower boater) and have the canipy to slide back and forth or flip up (than lock down when in it) a smaller engine on the back (smalller than what you would find on a regular fishing boat). and maybe put in a stearing wheal, spot light and so on.
Got one last weekend and returned it. Wouldn’t even spin my surface cleaner. Wanted to like it because I’m tired of cleaning carbs every spring but it just fell short.
rarely the first video i click is exactly my situation, my passenger side hinge is separated, i noticed the window was crooked and saw something was breaking but couldnt quite tell how . another one for the list of things my tahoe needs :( thanks for the vid
It didn't work for me or my neighbor. We followed the instructions to a T! It says specifically that it is for crabgrass. The crabgrass are still sitting on my lawn defiantly.
Very helpful overview. They should make the bow step a cooler and the console seat a live well. I think that’s a more typical layout. You may be putting your trailer to deep in the water when loading. Trying not going in as deep so the boat rides up on the bunks and use the outboard to push it up to the bow roller.
So far so good. That's why I take the bearing cap off completely so I can see the grease. I think if the cap were on and I filled the space completely, the grease would have no room, then it would blow out the seal for sure. Thanks for the feed back
About to order this unit, do you think it's too noisy when its cooling water if its near the bedroom/in bedroom? does it run / cool frequently? may put it in spare room.
I think I lost my initial reply. It's not too loud. About the same as a mini refrigerator. It doesn't start cooling too much unless it's in use alot. A quick note. Sometimes the siphon hose can rattle adding to the noise. Easily fixed by adjusting the bottle and holding the hose stable.
Good video. I like your production qualities and you obviously use these batteries in real-world scenarios. You realized the weight penalty that comes with lead-acid batteries, including AGM. You could have purchased a 100AH, "mini", lithium iron-phosphate battery that weighs only 20lbs and gives you very close to 100 amp-hours of real, actual, usable capacity. By comparison, the 35AH AGM battery you demonstrated in this video can only deliver about 50% of its rated capacity, or around 17.5 amp-hours, before the voltage drops too low and it is "dead", meaning it won't run your trolling motor or your fish finder anymore. With that battery chemistry, you better remember to charge it as soon as you get home, because if you forget and leave it that way for 2 weeks...it's a one-way boat anchor. So, you spent $85 dollars to get 17.5AH ($4.85/AH) of usable capacity, with voltage sag and reduced life-cycle count. You could have spent $200 for 95AH ($2.10/AH) of usable capacity, vitually zero voltage sag across the discharge curve, much faster charge times and much higher life-cycle count. Perhaps more to the point, for a canoe or a kayak, you could have bought (or made) a 50AH, lithium iron-phosphate battery, for right around $100. It would weigh 12.5lbs and deliver nearly 3 times as much usable energy, with all of the other advantages already mentioned. The only people buying lead-acid batteries for trolling motors or fishing electronics, these days, are those who do not understand the difference between cost and value. For those uses, lead-acid batteries are a false economy. They are still the better choice for a high-draw cranking battery, though.
😂😂😂 Thanks for the shout out! Great video! I agree that lithium just isn’t there yet in terms of value, especially when AGM is sort of a bridge between old and new tech. My dad has a Gheenoe with 45lb thrust TM and is replacing his optima blue top with a comparable Duracell AGM when the time comes. Loved the on the water test!
My gas pressure washer is 2400 psi. Using the turbo nozzle, mine seems more powerful and cleans more quickly than yours does. So, either this isn't really the rated 3000 psi, or the Turbo nozzle is weak, or gas is the way to go. I appreciate your demo, but I'm disappointed in what I just saw.
