SPECTRALOCK 1 Pre-Mixed Grout Installation and Cleaning Demo 

Just used this today. Its my first time grouting, too. The product is a pleasure to work with in regards to spreading and filling the joints. It was almost fun! But, even after following the instructions and this video, I have haze leftover. Even the first wash, once the grout was left on the tile for maybe more than 2 minutes, it was "stuck" and needed to be broken down with repeated circles and a sponge. Then all that did was spread the haze. I was able to remove what was left (now a bit moist because of the sponge) with a microfiber towel. But once it was all set/dried, there remains a clear-looking haze on the dark gray tile. Almost like a plastic look on the surface. So far Ive tried the Doodlebug and a Magic Eraser (Magic Eraser is references in Laticrete's FAQ about Spectralock 1). Not sure what to try next, but the faster the better, Im guessing (the grout has been in place for about 9 hours by now)

Do you have any demos using zellige/uneven vertical tiles? Would like to see how uneven joints work with SP1.

Do a demo with grouting a vertical wall, it takes more work on those & trying to keep the microfiber towel flat on a vertical surface is a lot more difficult also some demos show using a dry microfiber after scrubbing with the doodkebug some show it using a damp microfiber, so which is the best way? Doing it dry on a large project say 400sqft your going to need 25 towels to be able to have clean ones to keep wiping up any excess after scrubbing

i was sold on using it thru Sal’s vid. did my shower as he did but i used porcelain...i was earlier in the know when all the distributor had was white in color and he was 25 miles away.btw his showroom made me buy some kitchen porcelain.bathroom went well and it's kitchen time now.i picked a travertine with wholes in them like the moon for a 3x6 subway tile pattern. this is too eexxpensive to put in a grout bag so im usinng a mini cake decorator bag at best and at works an art tray and tools from the art store.. where is the vid on porous tile

I don't have a doodlebug. Can I clean with sponge, 2 passes and then proceed to micro-fiber towel? Also, how much time after packing the grout to do the first cleaning and how much time to wait until the second cleaning?

if I am regrouting old grout. how much of the old grout would I have to remove? all of the old cement based grout or the general industry standard or 2/3 the depth of the joint prior to using spectralock 1

Can spectralock 1 be applied for the tiled shower base?

Why do you use only a white colored doodle bug?

Too bad I got some batches that were not matching the color chart. Sterling silver labeled is what I bought, taupe is what I got. What is the best way to grind this out?
