Hello =) I purchased my kit at the NEC in nNov this year(2018). So far I love it but I am finding that with the ethanol paint the spray seems light and doesn't come out as fast as the water based. It took ages to cover a small area ( grass on trim of cake). Finally gave up and got the water base out. Do you have tips for this? Thank you =) Tam'
Hi Tammy! The ethanol colours are powder based. The powder in these colours settles to the bottom so you need to shake and stir them up very well everytime you use them. Use the end of a paintbrush to dig up the powder from the bottom of the bottle and shake very well. This will thin out the paint and give a great colour and coverage with the paints! :-D
@@CakeDecoratingco thank you so much. I have a huge project coming up over christmas break and will be using my airbrush again. will do as you have instructed =) thank you so much .
I just figured out the problem I was having, my airbrush has an "adjuster" near the nozzle that needed to be loosened. I haven't seen this mentioned in other videos, so I assume most airbrushes don't have this feature. I hope this helps!
