Time warner then changed to spectrum, my bill has doubled!! Here in LA. I have been Customer for Ten Years. MONOPOLY..

Spectrum doesn't do agreements/"contract". That's why they're allowed to raise rates on everyone. The longer you become a customer, the longer your service becomes unreliable and your "new customer" promotional price increase. If anyone in the Dallas,fort worth area is experiencing this I'll be glad to take the stress of off your hands.

Here in Alabama I was a long time BrightHouse customer and generally satisfied, but now I suddenly learn that if I want to increase my internet speed the only low option is the $65/mo. package at 60 mbps. That's big time over kill, no way I need 60 mbps as I now watch youtube at 1080 just fine with a 4 mbps package for $35/mo...also stream Netflix at 1080 by letting it buffer a few seconds first. Ridiculous that Spectrum does not offer a cheaper internet plan. Oh, and this is without wifi, that's another $5 I believe.

i tried getting them to lower my bill but they would not budge so i cut the cord and went to another provider all together. they want all of these insane fees and then they hire scab workers from third world countries that cant understand you

I have to tell you the scam used to get me signed up ..They did a mailing offering internet service for 14.99 well that was the come on Because a year later I'm paying almost 200 dollars a month .. woke up with no cable or wifi. said too call the cable company. I called them and they are saying my bill is past due..did not get any shut off notice or worring..says I am behind 200 dollers. they said if I payed 50$ on my bill they would not shut it off all the way..I am done with them..every one should leave them.

Raising the t.v.part of a bundle 75% is a shock, for example, raising the cost for t.v. from $45.98 to $80.48 is a shock. .. that is $34.50 more just for t.v. and a huge no. channels are "Unauthorized" while these channels come in on "Spectrum's" equipment why should the consumer pay for those ??? they are showing 8-10 commercials every break in "Oak Island" and probably other movies i.e. you can''t get interested in a movie because of the persistent running of ads. . . on our equipment that should be against the law . . . The Democrats are for cheating the American people any way they can even if it means destroying our liberty.

Every companies rates go up after the promotional times ends. Best thing to do is ask."How long is the promotion for? How much will my bill go up after the promotion ends?"

If you have Spectrum Internet, I advise you to purchase your own Modem/Wifi Router combo! I'm so glad I purchased my Motorola Arris Modem/Router from Best Buy about a year and a half ago, now that the FCC gave the green light for Cable and Internet companies to sell customer data regarding the sites you may visit! On 12-9-2017 around 2:30a.m., my Internet service completely shutdown. Called the service number and scheduled an appointment for a service tech to come out. Prior to this, I disconnected my service and started a new account! The in-store sales rep., kept pushing hard for me to agree to using the Spectrum modem they provided and kept saying my own modem/router may not work anymore. I declined and decided to wait on the service tech to arrive which was 3 days after my service was interrupted. Tech arrives and it was discovered a bad splitter was the issue and NOT my own Modm/Router not being compatible anymore. The Tech said something interesting after I questioned why Spectrum was pushing their Modems so aggressively and the Tech stated, Spectrum wants to monitor what you're doing online? NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE! I have the Motorola Arris SBG6580 which has some really nice security features, which I'm sure Spectrum's Modems purposely don't have for monitoring purposes! TIPS: 1. Purchase your own Motorola Arris Modem/Router if you use Spectrum! 2. Secure your Web Browser! I use Opera Developer which has Private Mode, Built In Ad Blocker, and blocks sites from accessing your Location, Camera, Microphone and other security features like WebRTC leak prevention! Lastly I use extensions, uBlock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere for unencrypted websites, WebRTC Leak Prevent and Disconnect! GOOD LUCK WITH MAINTAINING YOUR ONLINE PRIVACY AND PROVIDING ISP's NO USABLE DATA USING ADDITIONAL ENCRYPTION SOFTWARE LIKE PeerBlock 1.2, WHICH I ALSO USE!

How stupid they are most people will tell you there is nothing to watch. The way I see it they are pricing them selves out of business. I am learning about other ways to watch what is out on the air ways. Unemployment rates will go up.

I've been with spectrum for a couple of months and ive only had one issue with them. They had added live streaming or some shit like that to my plan. I noticed it becuase I frequently check my bill online. So I called and told the lady "why are you charging me a total of $80 When my monthly bill is $52?" She says "becuase you added live streaming to your plan" I said "no, i never authorised that change to my plan and plus I don't even know how to use spectrum live streaming!!" She said "ok sir well we'll go ahead and remove the live stream and you'll go back to the same monthly price". Other then that I've been pretty good. They say it's 100mbps in my area but I get 127 or 130mbps. Apparently I'm getting 27mbps for free. Doubt it.

Also, don't forget as of June 2019, they do not pro rate anymore either. Which should be ILLEGAL! Yep, I cancelled internet service July 1st. They still billed me 65.99 from June 27th to July 27th. This is absolutely unethical, robbery, and complete horse shit!!!! How are these companies able to do this?!! Looking forward to the massive lawsuit on this one!!!

Sick of the price hikes. I'm paying $90.00 a month now for Internet only. I'm going to look for an alternative. I don't see how Internet should be so expensive. The providers are few in my area. No competition. They can charge whatever they want. Not my problem if people are going to streaming and don't want bundled services for a discount. Just sucks. I can't afford the continuing price increases. 😒

All you have to do is read your contract. I work for cable companies like spectrum, and it's really annoying to hear customer who dont read the fine print. When ever you have your services installed you accept these terms, 1 YEAR PRICE GARANTEE!. JSUT READ FOLKS, no one is stealing, raising prices suddently, who have been previously adviced.

When Spectrum took over our Time Warner franchise they immediately jacked my bill up by $90 per month. And their equipment is shit. I gathered all of their crap up and dumped it on their office counter after I had already switched to DirecTV. Their rep tried to buy out my contract with DirecTV and said they’d lower my bill for 1 year if I switched back. I told her to eat shit.

I hate Charter-Spectrum with a passion. In many area they are a monopoly and are ridiculously overpriced. They don't have any discounts for low income people or retirees. Twenty years ago internet was free.. While their service get worse the charges go up. How many channels do we really watch? To top it all of commercials make up over 60% on TV

As long as there is internet,there is no reason to have a seperate OTA broadcast box.There are internet options for live cable like Sling TV , Direct TV NOW,PS Vue and some others.These options are better,they are not clogged up with a bunch of useless channels you don't watch.

Bill started at $179 now $220. They said the my promotion expired. So the longer I'm a customer the higher my bill goes. Cable, Internet, Phone package is not saving anyone anything.

Pure bullshit !!! We have TWC now Spectrum with Internet, phone and TV for $170 per month. Where are these people living? Now they brag about their Apple TV, how is that connected to the Internet? Were these bills containing past due amounts? My sister in Florida was hearing horror stories about changing from BrightHouse to Spectrum, and had very little change when it happened.

We keep their internet and dropped cable. I signed up for ps vue and bought a digital antenna to get over the air channels. So far it's the best decision I have made. With the antenna I can watch our local NBC, ABC, FOX & CBS channels and on ps vue streaming: ESPN, tbs, tnt, USA, NBA tv and etc etc.

I will cut the cord, I had no contract with TWC when they changed to SPECTRUM.

There are few if any good cable companies left, but charter AKA SpeckedCum has become one of the worst. I cancelled TV over three years ago, saving in excess of $3300.

Cable always advertise the promotional rate but not the regular rate. When I asked what the regular rate would be they just said they can't predict what that will be. When I asked what the existing regular rate currently is they would not answer the question. That's when I hung up.

Monopoly in Madison WI, and they know it. In 5 years my monthly bill went from $45 to almost $90 for the same service, internet only.

NBA app through Spectrum:( Didn’t work last night and I wanted so much to see the Golden State Warriors play Lakers. It made me furious I couldn’t get it because the tech support said the app had to be updated! Their tech guy said I couldn’t get reimbursed because the app was free:( I asked to see the supervisor and she reimbursed me $6.00! But I constantly have this problem! I tried for an hour to get the game and couldn’t!:( Too many Spectrum problems to be worth what we have to pay!!
