Speech therapy for 2 year-olds is typically the hardest to engage. Because they have really short attention spans and require a lot of play on the floor.
Remember 5-10 minutes to start off with, and start teaching your 2-year-old at home to start communicating with you. Realized that during the first month, your child will not use speech consistently. Rather, we're teaching your child to communicate through eye contact, gestures, and actions.
We'd always love to start off with bubbles. You can create a routine so that your child knows exactly what's going to happen next and anticipate your actions. So by coming to you, looking at you and copying your gestures, your child can communicate with you so that you continue to play with him/her.
Remember, your child doesn't owe you anything. If he/she doesn't want to play with you. Then it's actually your problem! So be resourceful and think of ways to play in ways that he/she cannot him/herself... Like spinning a ball really quickly, putting a backspin on a ball, blow really big bubbles, and so on...
If you found this helpful, please share this to your friends and family who would benefit from this information. Go to www.agentsofsp... for our checklist of toys and tools we recommend to all our clients!

I have mild autism. This is the therapy language speech from school. Although I succeeded with the introduction, it took several hours until the end the school. So I’m 14 years old and I’m in high school. When I finally have no autism it because my English is now perfectly now. For explaining to me that my brain was in the process to learn the words and phrases the limitation is for the culture. As a person name Kile. He’s autistic and he was thinking about himself after I help him for English & others so he is the nice guy when I use to text him from Snapchat. So that was a great video sir.

Give it to her asap, but close it right away and make her communicate with you that she wants to open again. Keep on doing it in small spurts and make the waiting time a little longer each time.

Does this work for autistic children? I feel my son would pay attention to the bottle of bottles instead of me. But I will try it. Thank you for sharing!

My son is 2.2 yr, I am doing WFH job and handling him alone from 8month of his age till now. Past few months he started doing repeated actions like jumping in sofa, saying repeated words from rhymes ( like wow, oh no, where are you, weee, ABC till Z and 1-10) , he is not looking at eyes and he is always concentrated on objects and not people. Out of 10 name calls once he responds. Few days ago we started giving OT and totally stopped screen time... Please let me know if my son can be reversed of this condition...

What's OT? Also has completely stopping screen time significantly improved their speech? I hope it has been going well for your son
