We really were left with no words for this one... just head bobbing and complete appreciation. You guys were not wrong, this one really is a masterpiece. Thank you so much for being here~ #ateez #HALA_HALA #reaction #에이티즈 #kpopreaction
Hala Hala was the song that forever changed the standards of stage performance in kpop so really, more than for any other song, make sure you watch some live performances of it (the original comeback stage will show you how insanely confident and skilled they were as a 4 months old group, or you can watch the latest concert performances to see how much more powerful they've gotten).
i mean, the only real spoilers in the allofthekennys guide (that i remember off the top of my head) is the songs that they have in the beginning explaining their discography which only show like 5-10 seconds of a title track and when it goes over members skills but those are mostly b-sides and that guide has so much info that you'll probably forget if you heard a song or not. i think it should be fine since it only plays a little portion of the song, but if you guys dont want any spoilers for any part of the song then i would definitely watch all their mv's first. it's up to you!
I looked forward to your reaction to this song. I haven’t watched the guide. I think most of them have spoilers. So I think it’s up to you. Their vocals are amazing. Jongho of course but the rest of them are good too. They also have a variety of vocal colors. Jongho is the belter. He is regarded as one of the best vocalists in K-pop. He was only 18 when they sang this song. In Kingdom he hit a B5 and has hit a C6 playing around. This song was the beginning of the demon line (San, Seonghwa, and Hongjoong). San was the center at the end when the dance went hard. I’m not sure about MJ, but this dance is very Krump influenced. Storyline-these are Halateez (black pirates) that warehouse also shows up for other videos. Not much storyline other than that. Lyrics wise-this song seems to be about them seeing that inner self that is very driven to succeed (often their treasure is their success as idols in other lyrics). Knowing that drive is sometimes frightening. That inner self is like a suicide squad-if they don’t pull back they will drive themselves too hard and kill themselves. Because a suicide squad sacrifices itself.
Always a pleasure to see new Ateez reactions, you're going really fast and I absolutely love it, because I'm so curious to see you reacting to all the MVs and the albums also. Hala Hala is one of their most iconic songs and I warmly recommend you a live performance of this one, maybe in the future (because live performances are a must with Ateez) Keep up the great work. The suggested guide is the absolute best, but maybe it could be safer to continue with the MVs and do the guide later. I mean, the good thing about doing a guide now is getting to know the members, to then be able to recognize them in the MVs, if that's something you care about then go for the guide now, otherwise go on with a bunch of MVs to not get too much spoiler through the guide
@@NewChapterReactions Sorry for deleting your like, I was editing my message and freaking youtube deletes that if the message gets edited. About the guide I think it would be safer to watch a bunch more of MVs before going for the guide, ideally I would suggest you to watch until Fireworks and then do the guide. In that moment you will be, kinda, halfway through your journey and won't get too much spoilers watching the guide, but definitely I recommend you to watch it before finishing with the MVs, with these guys a little bit of spoilers doesn't ruin anything trust me
thank you for the in depth reaction! it’s awesome to see more people getting into ateez. just a note that i wanted to mention in relation to mingi’s verse, he did mention god twice in his verse, once he refers to like an actual god and then the second time, i think he’s referring to the kpop artist g.o.d. who he has said inspired him to become an idol. which i think is very cool of him to mention in a song that’s essentially a tribute to their passion towards their art :)
I will agree that the guide by ofallthekennys is the best and most comprehensive. It will be a bit spoilery but as others have commented the spoilers are small. My one minor issue with it is the frequent mispronunciations of the member’s names by the computer voice that is used. There is a small older guide that you might want to start with now, I think it’s called “An Actually Helpful Guide to Ateez”. It just quickly goes through the members, has them saying their own names, and points out their facial features and a couple of quick highlights about them. Then dig into the big one when you are a little farther in.
Thank you for the suggestion and answering our question!! We will definitely keep the name mispronunciation in mind when we get around to watching the big guide! :)
I'm late to see your reactions, but I love seeing people react and hear their thoughts on Ateez. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I would LOVE to see you react to Black Nero by Ateez for like a Halloween/October reaction! :D But yess! Would love to see a reaction to their lives, too, because they're concerts and other live performances are SO good!! New Subscriber, looking forward to more Ateez reactions from you two. ☺️
Thank you so much! We're happy to have you here ❤️. So .. we might have a Halloween reaction idea lined up for October. And maaaybe Black Nero is on that list 🤫. We can't wait to see more of their live performances!
Lol, even if you watched all the music videos and concept vids you would still be 50/50 confused/understood the storyline. Then again it would be an interpretation at that. The spoilers are really just for the songs. If you don't mind listening to snippets then you should watch a guide. I would suggest the guide anyways since sometimes you will hear a B-side song that like that you wouldn't hear unless you listen to all their albums.
Yea i agree the allofthekennys is the best guide the other one by atini is good but very old and not informative like the other one and actually about the spoilers i don't think u will remember anything after watching the guide 😂 and u can skip the part when the guide mentions the songs it is at the very beginning of the guide so it is easy to skip it but of course it is up to u, thank u guys for reacting to ateez i really enjoy ur reactions 😍
Here's another really great guide (by Etini), if you don't want to see kennys' guide yet. The original was deleted off YT, but luckily someone was able to save a copy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rxtBmH6BBhQ.html
For the guide question: There are 3 in my mind that are the ones I feel like everyone should see: 1. Eitini (42 minutes) The first one and before this year, the guide that most reactors react to. Really quite detailed about every member. They do spoil the songs, but the clips are like 5 seconds max. I think you can react to this one now/soon. And it won't be too bad. Came out Oct 2020, after Fever Pt 1. (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rxtBmH6BBhQ.html) the reason why it has little views is bc it was reuploaded by someone else, after the original was taken down. I believe I watched it around 100k views or so. 2. Kang Yeosnack (21 minutes) I like this one because it shows the hangul of how to spell their name. And each member says their own name in korean as they are introduced for their section. Almost ALL the guides I have ever seen, the automated narrator voices always say their names wrong. This guide is the best to learn HOW to say their names. (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KTch1YGwJ0U.html) 3. Ofallthekennys (1.5 hours) Really really detailed. But the clips for their songs in this guide are REALLY long. Maybe 5 -10 seconds. I remember because I kept thinking.. why haven't they stopped the song? If it's someone who hates spoilers, you'd have to skip a lot. This one came out March 2022. So it will include Fever Epilogue stuff. I would say watch 1 & 2 now/soon because it helps a little for knowing a little about the members and getting names to faces. And then the longest guide you can do anytime after that. But you don't have to do all of them as reactions. Maybe you can just watch 1 and 2 on your own, if you even wanted to at all. But if you were planning on ONLY reacting to ofallthekennys guide, then I would say maybe watch it around Fever Pt 1 or Fever Pt 2. This is the order of the official mvs (they have mvs for a few of their bsides, but I will only list the title track(s)) Treasure Ep 1 - Treasure & Pirate King Treasure Ep 2 - Say My Name, HALA HALA Treasure Ep 3 - Illusion, Wave (A LOT of people watch these out of order. It's actually illusion first, you'll see why, but it's not like we would get angry if you watched Wave first lol!) Treasure Ep Fin - Wonderland Treasure Ep Epilogue - Answer Fever Pt 1 - Inception, THANXX Fever Pt 2 - Fireworks (I'm The One) Fever Pt 3 - Deja Vu, Eternal Sunshine Fever Epilogue - The Real The one who hits the high note is Jongho! Maknae and main vocal. Most of the time, if you hear really strong belting, it's him. Other members have high notes, but theyre usually in falsetto. But Jongho usually belts in his chest voice. I think you got the analysis of the lyrics pretty on point too. It's all about these men in black. They have the power to go forward. I really enjoy your reactions. I know I write a lot in my comments, but YOU NEVER KNOW, if you don't hate them, then I'll just comment whatever, but if my comments are too long, you can let me know, and i CAN shorten them LOL. Honestly I'm so excited for your ateez journey! And as you keep watching, Bri will continue to say, this doesn't sound like anything else so far. All of their title tracks sound nothing alike. Tori pausing and saying "Explain." true though. I'm not good with analyzing lyrics, so you guys are really good at reading into them. So far, so good. To me at least. I think you'll slowly get into some things as theyre explained in further MVs.
Thank you for answering our questions and giving us specific links for suggestions. It is so helpful! And thank you for the compliment, we just want to make sure we're doing this amazing group justice while enjoying learning about them along the way. You're right... I (Bri) will continue to comment on how different each one sounds; I just can't seem to stop repeating myself 🤣 There is no need to shorten your comments, we LOVE the feedback and getting to communicate with you all. 🥰
All the Kenny's also spoils a Kingdom performance or two. I remember thinking why would you put the high point of the whole performance in a guide. I definitely recommend A Guide to Stanning Ateez by Etini Full Music version on Johnny X Reacts channel. The spoilers are short and because it's a bit older there weren't many songs to spoil. Also, it does a really good job of helping you know their personalities through clips so you can see for yourself rather than tell you about them. Most of the newer guides have more of a documentary type feel while A Guide to Stanning Ateez feels like you're getting info from a friend.
The order that I get confused about is Say My Name and HALA HALA, because the MVs came out in this order but a HALA HALA video that was less than 2 minutes I think, came out before Say My Name, and wouldn’t it make more sense for HALA HALA to be first because of HALAteez?
