That’s also a Maine coone one of the most high maintenance cats you can get it’s not a normal house cat and will grow twice the size of a normal cat and you have to know how to take care of them properly or shit can go south fast
Adult cat takes time to adapt at their surroundings for like 1-2 weeks and to other animals like dogs maybe 1-3 weeks because cats are territorial and need to be introduced to other animal very slowly in order to give them time to get used each other.
The cat is correcting the dog and making boundaries. The growl and hiss is a warning and the swat is the quick correction. Definition of fck around and find out.
Introducing a cat to a new environment and new people and other animals can make the cat stressed and scared or aggressive and scared. Needs time to become familiar and trust everyone
Wdym? Yes it’s wrong. But Speeds just caring for his pets, the cat needs training and prob just nervous put after almost scratching Thor, it’s not wrong,
⚠️This is NOT how to introduce pets to other pets. That's dangerous. The cat is protecting itself and setting boundaries in a new and unknown environment. ⚠️ Guys, please inform yourselves before introducing pets to other pets. (Even if they are the same race)
I thought the same thing. So much could have gone wrong. Dog could lose an eye if the cat would try to protect itself and starts scratching. And how the other guy was holding the cat and says: „you have to do that!“ I‘m like: „tf you don‘t?!“ you have to let the cat do it by itself. The cat should always have the room to escape and not being forced to smell the dog. They need time to get used to the other pets and environment.
You want an explanation? Basically cats are really territorial leading for them to be aggressive with other animals. The way speed made them meet was not correct. If you want a cat to meet with another cat or dog do these things: 1.Install a pet gate anywhere in the house in a door frame. 2. Leave the cats/cat and dog in separate rooms. 3.Rub a blanket on each animal for the scent. 4.Give the blanket to the other animal to smell. 5.Once all of that is done, put them in the room with the gate and put them in opposite rooms. 6.If they start to get aggressive and hide leave it like that but stay for supervision. 7.3-4 days later take off the pet gate and let them roam around the house. 8.Soon enough they'll be brave enough to stay in the same room, sleep in the same room and sleep on the same bed. Cats can get more aggressive then that cat.Give it some time and they'll calm down.
Not to mention hissing and growling aren’t inherently aggressive. Even hitting can just be a warning, communicating discomfort without any intention of harm. I’ve been hit many times by cats without using their claws or scratching me. Sometimes they’re just telling us they’re distressed by our actions
@@bouanara9379I don’t know why your acting like he’s a animal master and he knows everything about them and how to introduce them it’s almost like there’s another person there trying to teach him and it’s not speeds fault
Speed should listen to his own advice. "Stop barking." Dang: I never expected to have 301 likes and a comment saying “This is the best thing I’ve seen all day.” Crazy. Anyways thanks 🤩
True, it can take weeks for animals to get along, my older cat spent 7-8 hours without pause destroying the cardboard box my new kitty came in, he had to keep em there for the night to protect them from this nosey bozo.
I wish more people would do research om cats instead of just getting them. This cat is NOT agressive or mean, it is STRESSED because its in a new large room people yelling and a dog corning it. Cats should ALWAYS be put in a small room to get use to the new enviroment, give it things that smell lime ur other pets and give ur pets things that smell like it, when inttoducin then do it through a gate or door SLOWLY introduce them. Also make sure you do reserch on the care of cats, thats a longhair and from the looks of it a maincoon, they need a LOT of fur matenice
Him yelling and freaking out over normal cat behavior bc it “looks aggressive” just scares them more, and then he also forced the dog in their face😭 like how is that supposed to make them feel safe or create positive associations towards each other? We had a skeptic shelter cat that took a week to get used to our dog. We introduced them over time by always giving them treats whenever they saw each other(this also helped prevent the dog from getting too excited/playful with the cat since he focused more on the food)
Idk how they are still with him he fucking named them slave and master like who tf that lives their pets name them like that, he has them for laughs and will get rid of them if they don’t make money imo
first off why???? Second off you have to admit though he doesn't seem like the best pet owner he's Young and I don't think he's mature enough to have these animals like one would work he doesn't need need 3 I was lucky enough to have a dog and a cat at the same time they was pretty damn chill together but to be honest what's a 1 in 100 chance speed should be lucky that this dog doesn't seem to be aggressive
They’re just overwhelmed because usually you should have them isolated in one area for a few days, and then leave the door or smth open while the other animals aren’t around it so that they can get used to the other smalls and area, and can hide if they get scared.
The problem is they didn't acclimate the two cats with the dog meaning for those of you who don't know they slowly introduce them. What they needed to do was keep them in separate rooms and slowly introduce them. He just brought them into the same room and immediately was like hey let's get along and that's where his flaw was. Giving them both attention is also very very needed that way they both know that they are both loved and both belong there. Also if one of them end up getting hostile then what they should do in that situation is back it up a notch because obviously the rushing the one animal too much and it takes at least a few weeks of acclimation for this process to be a good thing. At least a week in a separate room and then slowly introducing them for example having like them being able to sniff something that belongs to the other animal and then slowly letting them see each other but having them keep their distance that way they will be able to understand that hey this is normal.
Dident help that they were screaming and the dog was barking and they were all actin like idiots there could’ve been a chance they could of gotton along if they dident stress out and scare the cats
cats are territorial and they dont want dogs being around when they first came at your house they gotta familiarize themselves first and as time goes by theyll be chill and hangout with ya dog
You can easily tell when someone hasnt had more than one pet at a time. Theres always an ajustment period, cant force them to be best friends on the first day.
Its clear he didnt research how to introduce his animals to each other. It honestly just looks like he bought the cats on a whim. that poor cat isn't mad or mean he's just scared and he's protecting himself and setting his own boundaries in an unfamiliar space. He doesnt have any empathy for his animals in this moment. Hes just yelling at them to get along. I hope those poor kitties get a happy life after all this bs.
If the dog would of left it alone he could adjust to his surroundings, cats are territorial af and introducing a new animal into his world that he doesn't deem hostile is a big thing

Look i dont know much about cats but the dog isnt doing anything wrong dogs are curios and playfull he is barking in a playfull way not in a agressive way so the dog isnt the one to blame here speed is in the wrong for not investigating about cats and about dogs Also if i have bad spelling is because english is not my native language
@@vALESS11 put yourself in the cats position, if a wolf started growling at you would you be scared? Because that dog is almost 3 times the size of the cat and is barking in its face I'm sure you wouldn't be happy with it either
@@Theinkedgent95 very true, you need treat them like they're wild till they accept you then you're behaviour can adjust especially if you've not had her since she was young
Please stop blaming the dog. Dogs are naturally curious animals and are also friendly and social, unlike cats. They generally don’t mix- pupper didn’t know that. He did absolutely nothing wrong, the only one at fault was the man who brought them together in a stressful environment like this. Dog was upset and overwhelmed too.
3 tips for having a pet cat 1. Be patient with the cat and be gentle - Cats will be ready if they come to you. 2. DO NOT FORCE - if your force cats they could have trust issues and be more timid, maybe even try to hide especially when they are in a new different environment they've never been to. 3. Don't yell or make loud sounds, cats have better hearing then dogs do and they could be scared.

first time my cats met another hyper dog they were really scared and kept fighting but like 1-2 hours later they stopped fighting and the cats just ignored the dog and eventually they were able to get close to each other and not get scared
???? you don't realize this cat came into a very chaotic brand new environment they rake time to relax. giving up on it makes you a mean person. they need time. it'd nkt going to. happen instantly and if you care about animals you woukd take the time to get them used to their new home and trust you.
