Hi friend,
As July is winding down I continue to keep making artwork and being kind to myself when it doesn't come so easily.
As many of you know, I have a solo art show still up that opened earlier this month and it's been an interesting transition from creating to promoting to remaining curious for what's to come. I've been going easy on myself this last week and redirecting my efforts, continuing to enjoy the little things; or moving from giving to receiving, as someone put it.
I made a painting earlier in the week and then the fire went cold for a bit, oh the ebbs and flows of a creative practice, it can be humbling.
I have been enjoying bringing people to appointments at the gallery nonetheless, has been a great way to process the work I had made and understand the direction I want to go into next. All in all, I'm looking forward to getting back into a rhythm once again.
