Always be sure to wear seat belts when in a vehicle... at 2:19 pm Sunday, Contra Costa County Firefighters responded to a report of a solo vehicle crash on James Donlon Blvd. in the City of Antioch with three occupants in the vehicle.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a vehicle that hit a wall with three teenage occupants sustaining major injuries and were all determined to be trauma activation's with possibly two occupants who hit their head on the windshield.
According to Antioch Police, none of the occupants in the vehicle were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and speed is believed to be a factor as a vehicle was traveling westbound on James Donlon at before hitting the center divide at Nightingale Drive and hopping the curb and striking the wall before coming to a rest in the middle of the roadway.
No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported. Police, however, did have to shutdown the westbound direction of James Donlon at Nightingale. Police did not provide the ages of the occupants, but did say they were all believed to be teenagers.
