Speedometer not correct? 

Just in case anyone is wondering I have also been through roadside speed radars before, used a different app on a different phone, and see the same results. 👍

I would consider your speedometer pretty accurate. My moped shows 60 when Im doing about 42. Defently something wrong there. :D

Been riding for over 40 years...honestly EVERY bike I've owned had ( on my 10th now-2024 GSXR750) speedometer error on reading too fast..put a speedo healer on and it works great! Actually looking forward to messing around with different gearing,knowing I can fix the speedo at will..shiny side up!!

My speedometer is off by about 10%. If im following the flow of traffic of about 110kmh it will be reading about 122km/h. Feels super illegal

My 2008 cbr600rr is fine until I pass 30mph. The faster I go the further off it gets. On the highway it says I’m going 80mph but cars are slowly passing me so I just assume I’m going 65mph. And I have a stock sprocket because I know different sizes can throw off the speedometer

Tire inflation, tire wear and even chain and sprocket wear can be minor factors. Dual sports are usually way off. My DRZ400 you can calibrate it. Good vid, I'm curious if mine is off

I have a 2018 suzuki gsx 250 r and mine says 75 but actual is 70. I hate it I wish it read accurate

i bought a 2022 sv650,when im doing 100kpm ,its actually only doing 93kpm.

My 08 gsxr with cams and dyno tune lowered and exhaust pushing 135rwhp tops out at 183mph and that's bouncing rev limiter constantly on huge straight aways as far as my GPS goes 157 was my top speed and I believe it how can a 600cc 183mph

The VTX is pretty consistently 10% after the first 10MPH or so.

mine is about 10% fast. when it says im going 70 im actually going about 63.. and so on down the line so when im going 30 im actually going about 27

My zx10r goes 10miles under! So if i go 50 im really goong 40

don't know how much mine is off but i'd assume like it's showing about 5-10 km/h less than it really is.

I have a 2017 Gsx250r and when I'm doing 60 it's doing 54. It's annoying.

Mine is definitely off by 10mph

My moped speedometer shows 20mp/h when I am doing like a 45mp/h.

Because speed radars every vehicles read a inferior speed. Real speed and read speed always different. It's normal. It's more safety to drives don't pass the limit.bye. Stay well.

My friends truck always say 10 over of what the real speed is

It's common knowledge that the speedo reads incorrect, if you disagree 🤷 each his own... My bike reaches 184 mph as all 1000cc bikes, but are we truly going that fast.. NO.. To brag to friends an strangers this is how fast I can go.. past 💯 is illegal everywhere in the USA.. So just having a 650cc/600cc/750cc/1000cc bike it's able to double the legal speed limit.. Bragging badge just having the bike😪 So for those that don't do their homework an just throw numbers out, are clearly mistaken.. mad props getting every thing you can get outta your bike, but be real an acknowledge that what you see on the speedo really isn't how fast your actually going #noharm 😏😂🤣 side note: when I first started riding, I'd pace next to cars on the highway trying to see their speedometer to see how fast I was actually going🤣 that's when I started to clue in!! Came here looking into speedo’s being off. Stayed bc I once owned that exact bike. Well worth the money I gave, but rough around the edges. What did you end up getting after?

I ride a Gsxr also and I have had 3 of them and never has my speedometer been off at all. They have been exactly spot on with all my bikes. I would have that checked if it we're me and fixed cause it should not be off at all.

In truth ALL speedometers are off. Everything effects it, weight, tire pressure, time of day, warm or cool tires, humidity and I'm sure a few more I'm missing. I LOVE my phone's speedometer and GPS functions that I use with my 150cc scooter. Look for the apps that say they work Offline and instead of a cell signal they will work off of your phones built in radio wave functions, no cell signal needed. This is Great because you can use any ole phone for GPS and or speedometer. One of my phones is a used 80 dollar Figo with a 5.5 inch screen used for GPS and the other is a 30 ZT Jasper 4 inch screen I use for speedometer/trip counter. I currently don't pay for cell service.

Im pretty sure my 2015 suzuki boulevard is off by about 6 or 7 miles an hour when trying to do 55. I recently did a 4 hour trip turned 6 because of that.
