Speedrunning a DOOM Minecraft Mod Was a Great Idea

Pressing F in minecraft swaps the slot with your 'offhand' (left hand). When the player picks up a collectible it uses this slot. The double jump is scuffed. It's based on a inbuilt minecraft timer, and was one of the options for custom input (minecraft doesn't have many to pick from). It is inconsistent because minecraft is inconsistent. It's crap I know, but there's basically no way around it. FYI the reason why you get stuck on the edge of a block and lose momentum, its because the game has detected you crouching, and tries to stop you from falling off the edge. All the AI is the same in vanilla minecraft apart from small sneaky tricks I could edit. Yes you will struggle if you don't use your provided weapons. But that's also why the pistol exists. You can fight with the infinite ammo, it will just take a long time. Fun fact: some famous mods like Lycanites and Techguns include elements inspired from DOOM. A LOT of nether mobs in Lycanites are actually demons from DOOM. And a lot of weapons and even the praetor suit are available in Techguns.

fun fact! there are strafe jumps in minecraft, but they are very tough to pull off because the strafing is pretty weak. if you're curious, look up 'minecraft parkour neos'. and i dont know why those jumps are called that
