SPEEDY 30- Apple Gardé Experiment 

I sprayed my Pochette Metis with Apple Garde and I'm so glad I did. I wasn't going to, but I found myself being too scared to use it. So it was either not use it and hide it in my closet or spray it and use it. I've been in snow and rain many times and have no water spot whatsoever. It has patina'd, so it doesn't protect from that. I'm not scared to use it at all anymore - I can enjoy my bag!

Reasons like this is why I truly love social media. The ability to share and spread information. I love the print of your bag but would never purchase LV products in this print due to the fear of rain spots, dirt, and color transfer. I’m gettin ready to order me two cans of this spray. I live in a rainy climate (Pacific NW) so I treat all of my vachetta with Apple Garde. I have had great results- I’ve been caught in the rain several times with different bags and not a single water mark 👍🏼 Same- I don’t reach for Mono/ DA when it’s raining but it’s nice to have the protection if you are caught in rain unexpectedly.

I’ve been using Apple Garde for years! You will continue to get patina on your bags. My bags show no signs of water stains. Also, I spray the interior and the canvas. The spray really helps with getting no color transfer on the azure print. You will love using Apple Garde!

After carrying LV for over 10 years, I just sprayed my first piece, too! LOL I bought an Azur Neverful and pouchette accessories and want to carry them a lot regardless of weather :) I am also going to go ahead and spray my newer mono bags haven't darkened too much. It's worth a shot!

Given that yours is a Damier Azur prone to color transfer you can spray the entire canvas area as well. This will help protect it from dirt/stains/color transfer. It is safe to spray on the canvas. I would cover the hardware, however.

Jennifer my suggestion would be to find in a craft store, the smallest paint brush with a very thin, fine brush add the spray to the brush and paint the tiny areas with that.

It works better than Loving my Bags. I sprayed my Sperone with LMB, and it got rain spots. Later, I bought the Apple G. and it does work! Once, a boy dropped frozen coke all over my Delightful DA 😮 Nothing happened because of this spray.

This will be my second Damier bag so I want to protect better than I did the first one. I’m concerned for the piping though.🤔 I may spray a towel and blot the piping. Thanks for the video.

For the piping maybe spray into the lid or small dish then use a q-tip or small brush to apply? I'm going to use the Apple Brand Garde on my vachetta too. I don't want to be terrified of using my bag. TFS!

I sprayed my new pochette metis with this about a year ago and it has held up so well!!

I'm getting An Azur. And worried about color transfer. Can we spray the CANVAS to help with that? And have you has much color transfer? thanks! Love all you videos:) Have fun in Florida.

I spray the piping and once the second coat is dry just take a damp cloth and wipe down the canvas to remove the residue. It’ll make the canvas look shiny but that wipes right off as it’s coated 😊

Yes it works! Love apple garde! I used it on my LV Neverfull in mono. It’s been over a year and my bag still looks immaculate 😍

Omg, so funny. I just ordered this from amazon this am. I have a few bags that sit because I’m so afraid to ruin them. I really want to use them and get the patina going, so I’m really excited to try this and use them stress free!

Just a thought Jen - if you want to do the piping maybe you could spray a Qtip and carefully paint the product onto it. Congrats on your new acquisition. Have fun with it. 😊

Spraying the Apple Guard in a bowl and applying with a brush ( and a tiny brush for the piping ) is easier.

I sprayed my new Pochette Metis last week. I haven't used it on my Monogram Speedy 25B yet. I probably will. I am always changing to my Damier Ebene when it's raining and snowing, which seems to be way too often... SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER... PLEASE???!!!!

I have a few bags with the Vuitton stamp on the Vachetta and the stamp looks washed out. Any thoughts on restoring or pulling them back “out” so you can see them better?

How about saturating a Q-tip with the Apple Garde and then rub the piping down with it. Not sure how much would transfer but at least you know you're keeping the canvas safe. Just a thought.

I know a lot of people are recommending to use a q-tip to put the guard on the piping, but I've heard that if you put the product on directly like that you have to be very very careful because that could leave it darker permanently, and thats where the apple guard "haters" are born and why the gel doesnt work. the bottle says to hold the can a distance away for a reason, to not over spoil the guard on the leather. honestly, I just used tape underneath to hold on the paper towel to the sides and a little bit got on the canvas because I was lazy and didn't do it perfectly but it didn't change the canvas at all and my piping is protected!

I have to say that while I enjoy all of my bags, there is just something about the LV Speedy that is special. I wish I'd heard of Apple Garde before I 'abused' my Odeon MM. : (

Would it still be okay to use this on the bags that already have a patina or water spots? I’d like to try it on bags I’ve already had for awhile.

I never in a million years thought I wanted an Azur bag and every time I see yours I am itching to buy one. So very pretty!! Someone, who may or may not be me, will be asking for the Iena in Azur for Mother's Day. HA!

I LOVE Apple Garde that’s all I have ever used on my LV, it’s great stuff. I only use it in my garage though, it’s very smelly to do in the house.

You can spray the piping and just wipe the excess off of the canvas. It doesn’t affect the canvas whatsoever.

I would love to know how the bag has been holding up with the apple garde spray! I’m contemplating on if I want to do it to my pochette metis

I purchased the spray months ago to do some of my pieces and still have not used it yet! After watching you maybe I will have to try it!😊

Thank you for sharing your experiment! I have refrained from purchasing bags with vachetta because I fear getting water spots. I can't wait to see an update! Perhaps you could spray a q-tip so you can treat the piping as well.

I’m excited to see an update after it gets some rain on it. I have a couple of rain drops on my monogram speedy and never treated it. I see people get very passionate about treating vachetta and then there are those that are very against it. I don’t know the right answer but please keep us posted. For the piping you could spray the protectant on a clean white cloth or a qtip and wipe it.
