Speedy on Beavis & Butthead … Mel Blanc is funny in this one movie what the heck I think it's with Cary Grant , Jane Russell I look it up … He sounds like Donald duck & this Looney tunes but he's really one if the actors … These were great at the theatre … Speedy Taz & Yosemite Sam were maybe better than the Bugs himself *Happy Taco Tuesday on the Cinco* … I just did my best to draw Taz at Sweet Leaf … For a "Tasmon at Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 who was confounded by my reply to hers ¿ I made an almost Emogis Mickey Mouse for Phil Collins Next I wanna try Bugs I think … to go with a happy face Leon Russell at "Sweet Leaf" playing a grand piano . ☺
I agree with you amigo. I am Greek, and they do the same about us. But like you, we laugh it off, because it is funny!! Only white libtard bourgeois dictate what aught to be offensive.
I am a filipino...and I love Speedy Gonzales and the Mexican songs and culture! I grew up with them! I reminisce..thanks to RU-vid..my youth is refreshed! Muchas gracias Mexico!

I'm Mexican American and have never found this to be offensive. I actually see this as promoting the fine talent of Mexican Musical Geniuses. There are countless Mexican songs that have been translated into several languages. "Bésame Mucho" among the most translated songs into many languages. I see it as a Gentleman from the South commenting to a Yankee museum curator that he was proud to see how good Southern marksmanship was while looking at pictures of all those Yankees killed during the Civil War.
@@Seba-hz4sn Soy Mexicano nacido en Téjas (Texas) y tu, acabas de demostrar tu ignorancia! La acentuación sobre la vocal "e" es sobre la (í)...Pínche) In other words, the accentuation over the (e) vowel is incorrect! It should be over the first (i) vowel. It's best to be informed before you criticize.
A Latina subtitled American show is how I learned Spanish , So glad I remember Olde Mexico" I mean I lived in So .Pacific~ And there was no Hate Riots" when I run my fingers through Fijian ~ Samoa~ "Big Hair" ~ Of Course, Am sure when I try it now in US~ its Racism~Inappropriate touching~ the US is doing a great Job of Conquering and dividing all of us~ and keeping MEN out of homes with children ~ By denying benifits to women & Children if dad lives at home~ all benifits for anything will end completly (Slow Cook is slashing it away in tiny chops~ ) I'll keep quite~ not like anyone ever reads my posts and likes even 1~ in about 2 days the staff at F/B will find it disturbing to even be a subject manor~
@@darrylnelson2581 Before taking Spanish in high school (one of my favorite classes), most of my introduction to the language was early Sesame Street and another one that some times followed Electric Company; Villa Allegre. Found a few episodes on YT here, but not any that I remembered. Loved the animated Meso-American myths and fables they did, as well as the little animated bit done at the beginning and end of each episode.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate the quality of Mel Blancs Spanish. He's taking the piss in a friendly way. Speedy was essentially my abuelito. If he wasn't hammered and singing out of joy with his amigos, he was singing to his wife and playing his guitarron.
bro for real, like Mexicans could give a shit about this honestly I think it’s cause we feel some sort of happiness with a representation of our culture even if it’s just a really fast mouse
As a kid growing up, I never saw the mouse as a racist thing. I always though, Mouse from Mexico that can outrun anything was able to out smart Sylvester. If Warner Brothers had intended for the mouse to be a racist thing, I think they would have had Sylvester catching and eating him up or something else. But Speedy mostly won the day....
Actually, these cartoons were originally meant for an entirely different demographic. Problem was, the animators reported that the original adult audience wasn't all that impressed. They never imagined that the Saturday morning cartoon or weekend animated anthology would become the ultimate retirement home for their craft.
When i was a child and you told me Speedy was offensive I certainly would not understand nor would I have cared children do not understand until they are taught there is a difference, i will not let you take the magic from me cancel culture its in my heart
"Ay ay ay ay canta y no llores porque cantando se alegra Cielito Lindo los corazones". It's a great mexican song and other just like this "La Cucaracha, la cucaracha ya no puede caminar, porque no tiene por que le faltan las 2 patitas de atrás". See you all my amigos.

When I was a kid the beat day of the week was Sunday. All day outside playing, having a bbq etc. Then 5 pm would roll around and it was Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour. My dad would die lugging at all the funny antics etc. Simpler times. Miss those days.

I love Speedy Gonzales, Slowpoke Rodriguez, the Frito Bandito, Baba Luis, and Chuey Medina. I'm from the Midwest and grew up with these hilarious and highly accurate depictions. Nothing like the humor in pre-pc times.
It is pretty funny how everyone crying racism isn't even Mexican, while the majority of us that are Mexican, at least from what I see in this comments section, find these cartoons hilarious and aren't in the least bit offended, but I guess some people want to be the morality police and tell society what they must find offensive. Bottom line is that unless you're from a specific culture or race, you don't have the right to tell others what they are and aren't allowed to find entertaining
Fun fact: Latino/a refers to someone who comes from Latin Amerika, but when someone says they're Hispanic it means that they are from a spanish speaking country outside of Latin Amerika. Exampkes are Dominican Republic, Spain, Cuba, etc who are all outside of Latin Amerika.
I love this! Entertaining & funny! Couldn’t wait to watch it, them made me laugh, part of my childhood I’ll never forget. They don’t make cartoons like this anymore, sadly they never will. Now everything is absolute crap & we have to be careful what our children watch on tv. can’t trust them anymore!
I still don't get how people find this racist!! I know they say phrases in spanish and have Mexican accents but it takes place IN Mexico so they are supposed to . I love this cartoon and I don't find it racist at all
