I love how at the end, after the bandit shouts "YEEHAW!!", Speedy is looking all like: "Wow. That's kinda annoying from the other side. No wonder I do it all the time."
How about Citalli Anahuac(a Female Aztec Mexican Indigenous Activist and Educator) and instead of Speedy Gonzales? There are real Mexican mice in Mexico known as Mexican deer mice and they sure really do exist and are fast and quick, but they are nothing like Speedy as they don't talk like people do although they do talk like squeaking.

Speedy Gonzales was one of my favorite characters as he reminded me of the Road Runner where like the Road Runner Speedy had a habit of showing up behind people and scaring the crap out of them the way he does making them jump like 20 to 30 feet into the air.

One episode of Looney Tunes I liked was the race between Speedy Gonzales and the Road Runner it was really hilarious especially with Sylvester the cat and Wile E. Coyote trying to get both of them sometimes using schemes the Coyote used before and always failed blowing up literally and figuratively right in they're faces.

I've yet to run into a person of Mexican descent who hasn't found Speedy Gonzales side splittingly hilarious. A very wise person I once knew liked to say that a person who can laugh at themselves is one who will never cease to be amused.

I have missed these old cartoons ,they're really great . However there are so many more that should be available , like mighty mouse. , under dog and so many more.
I myself recently just turned 55. And I used to watch these when I was a kid. Technically still am at heart. I also wish they bring them back. I've new cartoons, not even half as funny as the the old ones were.
That was the plot of "The Wild Chase" (1965) except we never get to see who wins. Right before the finish line, however, Speedy Gonzales was in the lead.
When I was a kid, we had a kitten we named Speedy Gonzales. From the moment it learn to walk, no one could catch that thing. It ran so fast when we came. All the other kittens normal. After a few years I watched it run under and behind a large stack of fir wood. Never to be seen again. I thought maybe the wood shifted and got it. Always made me nervous that year to fetch the fire wood, being I thought I would find it dead. In the end 8 months later their was no cat. We lived on 2 1/2 acres, so it had room to roam. Love these cartoons and this made me believe that our speedy was fine.
as kids we used to copy this and love this character because the nonsense, cuteness, predictability and goofiness is the best type of humour for kids to relate to

With every Looney Tunes character who had an encounter with Speedy Gonzales I'm surprised a lot of them survived with they're nerves almost intact even though with those poor cats in the hospital they're nerves are probably shot to heck and the same with Sylvester the Cat and Daffy Duck especially Daffy as he had numerous encounters with the fastest mouse in all Mexico.

Recently, I went on a cruise with my family to Cozumel, Mexico and when I was on the beach I was watching Speedy Gonzales on my phone drinking OJ under the palm trees #BestTripEver I bought a yellow sombrero as a souvenir. Te quiero mucho Speedy Gonzales! YEE-HA! Andele!
