Amazing video. I cant wait to get off of work and set up my telemetry data (after I fly of course, lol). Thanks for sharing the knowledge! KNOWLEDGE is POWER!!!
Dave I WISH us over the pond could use your HORIZON HOBBY link. Since we left the EU HH STOPED DELIVERY TO ENGLAND 😭. We have to get what we want from HOBBY SHOPS. Which is GREAT for UK HOBBY SHOPS.
Easily the best video on NX 10 instructions no background music or background noise nice and clear and straight to the facts... I add two call outs on one switch for landing 'Time Remaining ' lets me know how much I've gone over the timer after my mAh Alarm/vibrate kicks in and 'Voltage' ...this way I get to know End of flight voltage so I can monitor the packs life...also I set a low voltage on 6S packs at 20V with a vibrate alarm also...the reason for using Vibrate alarms is I sometimes fly with Bluetooth headset to music.
Hi Dave.. Been awhile.. Loved the video.. Question for you.. I'm have Altitude setup in Tele... Is there a way to zero the altitude while on the ground? Mind doesn't seem to read zero while on the ground.. Thanks Grant
The SMART ESC voltage alerts and alarms work in controlled conditions on the work bench and RC airplane stand. Tested in Indianapolis Motzart city part at 40F -- minus wind chill-- the alerts and alarms signaled at only 4.0v not the 3.8v programmed. The cold air temperature and wind chill made actual flying performance much different from the bench testing. Turbo Timber Evo flights of 8 minutes left 3.9v on the 4S SMART 2200mAh Spektrum lipos.
Thank you for the valuable information. I have a Spektrum IX14 transmitter, but the concepts are the same. I'd like to learn, for example about all the telemetry concepts, as for example: in FlightLog Frame loss, Holds, , Pitch, rolls, I have pics of screen in Flight Log A: 1180 B: L: R: dBm: -42, F: 1144 2:03; H:1 26:45. This is information in a Fox Glider FMS 3000. Gyroscope Screen Gyro: Roll: 0, Pitch: 0, Yaw .; Max 97. 109, 146/ In other words, a Smart ESC, Motor, Receiver, give us a lot of information. How to read and interpret that information. What is the use for it?
Excellent video! I know this is an older post/video, but I think you may be able to help seeing it's related to telemetry and the NX8 transmitter. I'm having a problem using my NX8 transmitter with an Apprentice STS 1.5 and the Spektrum Remote ID. I'm trying to get the Spektrum Remote ID to show the data on the NX8. The Remote ID light is on, I went to telemetry on the NX8 and put in gps, scrowled to the gps screen, but there's no data showing up. What am I missing here? I would appreciate any help and suggestions!
So I have gps module plugged into my Rx. Auto config and it's perfect. I can set it to voice announce speed every 5 seconds. But obviously that's super annoying the entire flight. I want to put the voice announcement every 5 seconds but on an unused switch so I can turn it on and off when I want to hear it. Same with altitude or rpm. For the life of me I cannot find how to do this. If you know how please let me know. Vario in telemetry offers a switch option in the Vario settings. But no switch offered for other telemetry options. I have tried to make an announcement under stepping reports. But not sure if this will only give me the one announcement on flipping the switch will announce speed and then every 5 seconds until I switch it off?
Not sure if you figured it out yet , but it’s simple, just go into audio alerts , and pick a switch you want to flip to have the call outs on ,and then when it ask you to pick the sound you want go into telemetry sounds , example - select switch A , then say I want to have my flight pack voltage called out , you would just select the sound VOLTS , or if you want altitude, select that , same applies to all the telemetry functions, their all pre set to call out what they do
Thanks I have an AR637T in my Smart Maule M7 and it sends altitude to my NX10, but I put a brand new AR637T in another plane, and no Altitude on same NX10… this one arrived at Horizon for eval, repair replacement Is it the TA version Altitude handicapped? Thanks
