Spelling Curriculum: We’ve almost tried them all! 

I would love to see inside the souring with spelling! I used growing with grammar years ago and enjoyed it

Have you guys heard of Megawords? It has worked well for us. I think it starts in grade 4. It is very plain and simple. Teaches the syllabic, decoding way to spell! I pick the words I want them to spell and have them write in a notebook a few times every other day. We do daily spelling bees with index cards.

I have spelling you can see, but haven’t opened it yet 😅. Thanks for the heads up for the review. Our family loves 180 days. It’s easy on budget but very impactful.

Thanks for sharing this. We have a struggling speller and i feel like we’ve tried so much but haven’t come to one that we love although what we’ve switched to now seems okay for him. I may have to check out soar with spelling more.

I am a naturally bad speller. And I am proud to say that I am currently a better speller than my children! I think just small gains really add up. 😁

Thank you for showing off so many spelling options! My 9 year old is a pretty strong speller, but needs more assistance with spelling "rules". I'm looking primarily at 180 Days or Soaring with Spelling due to costs. Do you know if either of them go over any of the spelling rules? We've been doing word lists for months which is fine but I would like to see if we can add a little something more for him!

I heard some people have to level up for the even moore spelling. Maybe you can try that. 😊
