PLEASE play more of this game! It seems pretty basic at first, but it gets super complicated with a TON of stuff you can do, from sacrificing pugs to the blood god, to fighting a giant two headed chicken snake, turkey thing, this game has a ton of content especially for the price

I've spent 30 hours in Spelunky HD, and probably another hundred in Spelunky Classic, so watching your video... It's enlightening. I genuinely never knew you could whip arrows from those dart traps to stop them hurting you. 10/10 educational content, would watch again

Dear lord, Kevin, I'm so happy you started playing Spelunky, it is one of my favorite games to watch thanks to Alpharad. Some tips for the rest of the game: - Arrow traps only activate once; throw anything in front of them to trigger the arrow and pass safely - The jar with the ghost face has a $5000 gem, but instantly summons the big ghost you saw, and after a while that ghost splits into two smaller ghosts. If you want to take it, try doing it near the exit - Dogs can be picked up and rescued at the exits - You can steal from the shop and kill the shopkeeper, *BUT* keep in mind that once you harm a shopkeeper, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM will wait for you near the exit to try to kill you, which can be problematic. The ways I've seen of killing the shopkeeps are by pushing them into a wall with the shield, freezing them with the freeze ray, using the shotgun... in any case, if you want to go that route, kill 'em fast and run away from the next shopkeeps as quickly as possible - If an enemy or an enviromental hazard kills the shopkeeper it doesn't count towards this aggro system, so for example, if you guide a horned lizard towards the shop, it can kill the shopkeep for you and let you grab everything for free - If you accidentally kill the dog, sacrifice it at the altar to get boons from Kali - Bombs now explode if they're near another bomb, so don't stack them unless strictly necessary - Ride turkeys whenever possible; not only do you get a double jump and slow fall, but also bonus healing; if the turkey dies it can be cooked, which restores 4 health if I remember correctly (though if I'm wrong someone will likely correct me soon) - Store as many bombs as you can for the upcoming first boss, which I won't spoil beyond that Great job on your first games, you're a quick learner. Don't give up! Spelunky seems hard (because it is), but once you start understanding the systems it becomes a lot better to traverse! Happy spelunking!

The arrow traps all start with one arrow and after it’s fired it never shoots another. It shoots arrows when movement is sensed meaning that you can drop an item in front of it and it will deplete the arrow.

to avoid those arrow traps, you can throw stuff in front of them. You can use corpses, rocks, skulls, anything you can pick up really. anything that passes them including enemies will trigger them, so its always good to pick up random rocks or skulls you find, hell, even rats will work if you can catch them
