People need to understand that Spencer Dinwiddie can straight up BALL. Before he got injured and traded he was doing work in Brooklyn. He's VERY UNDERRATED. He and CJ McCollum are 2 of the most underrated players at their positions. They are game changers who fly under the radar.
He was shooting below 30 behind the 3 point line while attempting 6+ 3s per game in his best season in Brooklyn. He's paid more than 20 million dollars a year now and his fg percentage was significantly low when he played at the wizards. He has a couple good games after changing teams and now he's very underrated?
@@js8577 Those who analyze the WHOLE GAME just don't judge a players performance by WHAT THEY SHOOT FROM THE 3. A true players worth is not just by what they shoot from the 3. Stats don't tell the whole picture of how a player effects the game. If you REALLY watched Spencer play in Brooklyn you would know the brother can ball, him having good games is not an accident, he was doing that consistently before he got injured.
@@BlkDiesel Don't downplay my perspective, because it's not just based on stats. I watched a lot of Brooklyn games ever since D-Lo joined. I was frustrated with him shooting more 3s than Joe Harris. He also couldn't play at a high level when Kyrie played because he's an on-ball player. Did you watch him play with the wizards? He was consistently inefficient even though he was paid more than 20 million a year. You still think he is doing above the expectations, and an underrated player? I don't doubt that he was a good player back in Brooklyn, and he still is to some extent. But calling him underrated just like CJ makes me think that you are the one that does not analyze the whole game and only watch highlights.
@@js8577 The thing about perspective is that it is subjective. That said, we can go back on forth with our perspectives and not change each others opinion. I am of the mindset that Spencer is underrated...you don't agree with that. Fine. Now with him on a new team in a new role and now healthy again we will see whose viewpoint is more correct as we go into the playoffs and see his play.
Rooting for Dinwiddie. Unlike Kyrie, this guy is actually smart. You don’t have to be a team cancer to get attention. Happy that Dinwiddie is in a good situation now. Everyone who has left that cancerous situation in New York has been doing well. Funny.
If he can be 75 percent of what Jason Terry was in his prime, Dinwiddie would be a huge addition. Although it’s a few games, I have seen an improvement in Bertans game as well!!!
He had really nice stretches in Washington too. It's a small sample size judging a few games in Dallas. I've got no dog in the fight I'm not a Wizards fan, but Dinwiddie has been inconsistent since the injury he got while in Brooklyn. If he can get back to where he was in Brooklyn, he's a fantastic player. Unfortunately, I think his inconsistent play is more about his injuries and the fact that he just can't do the same things he used to be able to do on a basketball court. Maybe I'm wrong, but he hasn't played great since that injury. He's shown flashes of the player he once was and could become, but he hasn't been able to consistently do it. Hopefully this change of scenery really does do it for him. Unfortunately, I just think he's not going to be himself ever again. Maybe that's dramatic to say, but I think he might drop off a bit D-Rose style.
@@user-dc7um4pr3f definitely a very small sample size but I hope he can keep it up. The difference in stats this year with the wizards vs with the mavs is stark
@@cameronmalachi8764 I mean I agree I think Spencer is a good player but that’s the reason people were saying it was a garbage trade-his shooting splits this season are still garbage tho…
I always thought the Mavs should have picked up Spencer D back in the summer. It made a lot of sense. Luka needed another player maker next to him, and they did not have to give KP at the same time.
As a Mavs fan I can say that even though I hated to see KP go it was very much so the right move to make. He spent four years here and his injury history and fit next to Luka is still being questioned. I think people got more caught up in what could have been than the reality of the situation. A healthy and efficient KP would have fit perfectly next to Luka but that's not how things turned out.
@@akhileshprayag3553 Tha doesnt really solve the problem since they all need the ball to be most effective. Obviously Luka needs the ball the most since he is the best but Dinwiddie will have to come off the bench and bench player do net get as much minutes in the playoffs. Their defense will also get much worse if they start Luka at sf but they can maybe figure something out.
@@vascainodepreciativo5272 he wasnt. Even in slovenia he wasnt the pg, dragic was. In his rookie season they've discovered his abilities then decided to move him to pg
Gotta love the irony of how 99% of the nba fans initially reacted to the KP trade lol. One day, NBA fans will understand what the Mavs fans went through for multiple years with KP. Thanks washington sincerely from the bottom of my heart.😂
Dinwiddie can get his own shot and make plays for others. Something that Porzingis wasn’t really good at. He’s also a pretty good defender because of his 6’6 height.
Idk why people were so quick to write him off. It was super congested in Washington for his position. He had a bad injury ig but it's not like he was extra explosive in the first place.
As much as I like him, they are doing so much better without him. Reggie Bullock is playing real good in THJs role, way higher efficiency. One thing that can’t be replaced about THJ is his amazing energy, he sparks runs all the time.
26 to 1 is domination and an embarrassment at home for any team, especially one that supposed to be championship contenders...but it'll get brushed aside because who criticizes GSW at this point?
L to all the people who said Dinwiddie & Bertans were the bad end of the stick w the porzingis trade. Clearly you all don’t watch basketball, these trades & assets are mainly players who can fit around Luka & it’s playing system. Just look at Bullock for example.
I have a feeling that Luka isn't the easiest teammate to play with. I'll be watching this closely. Something about what he said in the interview didn't sound right.
Wiggins is so overrated and overpaid, can't even shot a free throws. Poole is wishy-washy. Curry nowadays is only good during warmups and exhibition game.
If clips didn't tank last season with the seeding, Mavs would've made it. They could've beaten Nuggets (no Murray) in the first round then Jazz (lost to CLips without Kawhi) the next round.
No no...THE WARRIORS CHOKED. Steph Curry did his job..put guys in position to be successful. Wiggins, BRICKED FTs and field goals, and Jordan Poole SCORED FOUR POINTS...FOUR POINTS. Steve Kerr sits Curry with 5:43 to go in the game when Dallas is mounting a comeback and Steph only attempted 4 shots in the first 5 minutes of the fourth quarter. I blame him for not being more aggressive when the rest of his teammates couldn't find the bottom of the ocean from beyond the perimeter. Warriors went 4-26 from 3 after the first half. That's pathetic. Steph shot just under 50% from the field. He only made 3 or 4 threes last night on 9 to 10 attempts but he feasted on mid-range and drives in the paint. 27 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals....oh and only ONE TURNOVER. The man missed 2 FTs and should have been more offensively aggressive in the fourth quarter...a la a Kyrie, KD, LeBron, Giannis, KOBE..but everyone else on that team needs to step tf up when Klay is out (not to mention Draymond and Wiseman)
