+smally432 Yeah I was in venice beach this summer. Seemed quite crowded. Then I ran into Chris Chan and was like, "Oh, now I get it!" Thanks Chris; you ruined Venice for everyone.
Its funny when you see all these skater in la and they complain about the ground when I'm in the uk and everything is made out of shitty tarmac that they haven't replaced in like 20 years
Spencer is everything I imagine when I hear the word "skater" A somewhat awkward non-athletic very skinny teenage looking guy with toothpick legs, tight jeans, awkward posture/movement and swaglord snapback and glasses. And that's why I love Spencer. He's the only living-breathing skater stereotype. It's like he was born to skate and do nothing else
Awkward? Not sure how you define awkward, but IMO he's the smoothest skateboard tutorial dude I can find on RU-vid. Like even when he stammers (which he hardly does), he still sounds so smooth
I spent a week in Cali and skated Hollenbeck twice, and it was one of the best parks I've ever skated. Coming from Alaska, where 90% of what we skate is pretty rough, having a local park like that would be such a blessing to me, I swear I would never complain about a thing lol.
+Kyloh bro. my skatepark is wood. It was made in the early 90s. The wood is rotted and we keep trying to repair it but townhall won't even let us begin any projects. It still has so many memories and it makes me sad going there seeing what it became. So many injuries, smoking squares or blunts, ambulances the good days man. Now we don't even have light for night. Used to be a big flood light. Now it's rotting wood that has the texture of cardboard. We still skate it though haha. Keeping it alive with our memories and some of our maintenance.
If they did one in my town: "welcome to my park, here's the open ground that is 3 times the size of a basketball court, here's the rail some genius decided to put 1ft away from the quarter pipe, here's the quarter pipe itself which is terrribly contoured, and here are the bowls that literally have plug holes in the middle."
I really wanna be like spencer nuzzi, he's cool and laid back and damn he's good I kinda wish I could skateboard better.. I only cruise cause I can't do any tricks
