My BF and I live in the US, he is from New Mexico, in the Southwest Corner, and I am from New Jersey, in the Northeast Corner, and his parents still live in NM and my parents are moving to South Carolina, in the Southeast. We came up with a plan for the holidays to do a three-year routine. So this year, 2022, we spent Christmas just the two of us; next year, 2023, we are spending Christmas in SC with my parents; then in 2024, we are going to NM with his family; then in 2025, we will spend it just the two of us again. It allows everyone to "have" us during Christmas so no one is missing out and allows us to not have to travel each year.
