I’ve had several both systems in the past and I currently have the Bose 700 sound bar along with the sub... you can’t tell by your quality from the RU-vid video first of all the audio is compressed and second of all usually you’re watching through a phone or a laptop or an iPad or something like that which doesn’t give you the same detail as you would hear in person. Not to mention I’m not sure which both system this is but it looks really old. Back on the system was released it was probably top-notch and sounded just as good as systems available then. I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of negative comments stating that there was better systems available etc. etc. but don’t act like you can tell how good a system is off of a RU-vid video you simply cannot
They don't sound bad. They only sound different. It could be just a matter of getting used to. Anyway, good job Kpaceguy for letting people judge themselves.
Spikeout BS Yeah. That’s the problem. If you’re paying mediocre price for mediocre sound, I wouldn’t have a problem. Bose is WAY overpriced for mediocre sound. You can get better sound systems, for less than half the price.
I like the Bose products I own and have owned w/ 1 caveat, To my ears, very bassy/low and not enough of the highs...adjustments helped and the type of room made a HUGE difference, but even though I like bass and find bass lacking in many hi-end audio products, I wish I could get a little more treble for my money, but overall, very satisfied
Bose was never meant for the audiophiles; it was meant for the average consumer who has money to burn in an easy setup with an above-average soundstage through small stylish speakers.
Hey Kyle I was shocked you did a video of this! Back in the day I used to own the lifestyle T-20 I absolutely loved it, for it's size it wasn't as bad,but once I gotten older and wiser, I realized for the price I could get something for half the price and sound better..When I was young I thought Bose was the best! That is until now..still great video demo..I have to start making more of my own, it's been awhile
@@Kpaceguy this is the acoustimass 9? How did you connect the acoustimass module to the receiver? The acoustimass comes with an odd proprietary input cable that goes into the Bose music center model 5 receiver, how did you connect to non Bose receiver???
I have a Bose Acoustimas 25 series II that I haven't used for years. Rather than spending thousans on a new system I'm going to resurect it. My memories were good and I liked the surround sound for movies & music. Iknow there are better sound options, but there always are. Personaly its more than adequate for sound and I like the modern design & appearance. To each his own I sippose.
hahaha i just bought the bose 700 package with dual sub 2 day ago!!!! to add in another room,, main room are the signature series form fluance with emotiva and svs sub,, and honestly the bose 700 package ( jewel surround 2 bose 700 sub ) sound way better then the fluance speaker very easy, of course the pb1000 wind up the bose but 700 sub does a great clean job im really impressed!!! perfect for a living room its shocking great lol
You should compare home theater systems of a similar price because the Bose is way more expensive than the Fluance speakers so it is expected that the Bose system should blow away the Fluance speakers.
@@peterotremba8980 well i think i change all my system maybe 10 times in 5 years got cheap and more expensive went with the svs ultra and it did not sound any better then the fluance so i sell the ultra,, but the bose sound the best in short term
Came here because I acquired a Bose acoustimass 30 series ii when I purchased my new house. Trying to see if it's still got what I always remembered hearing in the stores. Plus I need a power cord for it. I can't find a manual anywhere. Was the 30 series ii any good?
plz help me i am going to buy Bose Acoustimass 10 series v what's your opinion about my choice feel free to explain if my decision is good or if my decision is bad i want to know something about bose
@@SceneOnHai1 there's many things out there that are better I'll tell you that. This Bose sounds like a good sound bar. I don't want to spoil the series for you. Jump to episode 4
No most of Bose older stuff comes in a home theater in a box type style where they give you 5 speakers and a sub to pair with your receiver. Bose systems are usually Designed to be paired with the sub
Darius, yes and no. The lifestyle line yes but they also offered speakers were you could use a receiver of your choice. There were pros and cons to the lifestyle systems. The pros, the lifestyle systems came with a Radio frequency remote had multiple room capabilities. I also believe but could be wrong the introduction of Neodymium magnet speakers (Jewel Cube) in 1996. For the mid 90s that was awesome. Cons, it was the same Acoustimass line of speakers on some systems. The lifestyle 40 and 50 featured the Jewel Cubes and they both had a touchscreen remote that was backlit. Again pretty awesome for the late 90s.
I don’t know if something‘s not calibrated correctly but the speakers sound like they have no treble through my own Bose system I’m using which is kind of funny, I don’t know they just sound horrible through this
This was insane. I remember an uncle of mine showing off his Bose system years ago. I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Then I purchased my Andrew Jones first generation system and wanted to puke when I thought of how good I once thought Bose was. Listening to your video makes me realize how much garbage Bose is.
My uncle did the same thing. He owns a lot of Bose products and I thought they sounded amazing! Then I built my own Klipsch 7.2 setup thinking that it'll only be supbar to my uncle's "superior" Bose home theater system because my setup cost $1100 while his was triple that. Then I heard his system again after my setup and suddenly sounded like garbage compared to my Klipsch system. Then it came time to get a new Bose Wave Radio and he gave me his old system. That radio sounds like trash and I can't believe people pay $600 for those things! Only Bose product that I'll admit I enjoy is the Bose Home Speaker 500, because you actually have the power to adjust bass and treble on those systems, and it sounds pretty good, but that's it.
Aye Bee, you really don’t have to have big speakers at all. If you are trying to do a home theater system, your LCR speakers need to be able to hit 100 hz no problem and just set the receiver crossover to 100 hz to let the sub hit the low end. Medium sized bookshelf speakers are all you really need to get Fantastic sound in your system!
Peter Otremba I’ll have to do some research. I’m not as educated on this as I’d like to be. I just don’t want the speakers to be the first thing you see when you walk in the living room. My current Bose is definitely due for an upgrade I have the 321 system in the living room and man cave the sound is excellent (for my ears)
If you want to absolutely destroy the bose to atoms for the same price look up SVS prime 5.1 1200 dollars for 5 speakers 1 sub. + a 300 dollar denon receiver and you're done. It will beat every bose speaker ever made. Including those stupid shitty very expensive 901's.
@@notagunfreak8146 with this ugly thing? Sorry but the most people don t want such big thing that even look not good for hust sound. I love my bose 600. It was not cheap but sound better than my old kef e305 wich wase 10times bigger
@@91DivineAngel Well the bose cubes look very cheap and shitty! they are ridiculously overpriced! 2500 dollars for plastic cabinets and 20 dollar drivers... The svs speakers look expensive, high gloss, and very modern. Instead of the old 90's looking cubes. Also which item is ugly? You say with this ugly thing, you mean the receiver, the speakers or the subwoofer? Because the receivers can just go inside of the cabinet so you wont see it.
Sub bass settings are waaaaay too high. This is not a true representation of the acoustimass system. Also, you have to remember when this system was made. Can you compare a 2005 car to a 2019 model. NO!
